Dragons are pretty playable with the armor buffs and decent quirks, but they are pretty much the ultimate in "twist well or die poorly."

Yeah got 2, ones build, just needs a camo scheme.

It's definitely more fun now, thanks to the new armor quirks. And I've had even more fun with it on the PTS.

I run mine with XL350 and 4 hoverjets. 4 tons of AC20 ammo.

IV-4. 2LBX10, 2srm4 1jj, xl280. With all the quirks, and cool down modules, you are near double other mechs rate of fire. With all the extra armor an IV-4 gets from its quirks, it is actually fairly capable of face tanking all but the nastiest of mechs (and given the rate of fire you probably should be). If you can hold back until the enemy is engaged you will be a god no matter your level of potato.

If you are looking for something even tougher, try 1AC10, 2SRM4 (Artemis is optional) and 2ML (or 2MPL depending on Artemis) with this you can do a STD260. And still be above 70KPH.

Before you scoff, just build the thing and look at the armor and the rate of fire of your weapons. It defines fun.

Fun that the skill tree update will probably ruin (the ROF part).

Not a lot of mechs as much fun for me as LBK. That crazy speed on a heavy. A couple PPCs or a rack of MPLs. ♥️

Yup. Already tested it. They nerfed the cool down in the PTS. You can bring either the guns or the srms back up but not both useing nodes. The std with three weapon systems is a total loss. Other mechs do it better, and there is no reason to run such a load out on other mechs.

JM6-S 2LB10X 2MG 4ML - I got ace of spades in this rig. Great if you want to troll via destroyed components and will be way better if the crit changes go through.

Currently I'm having a great time in my PHX-1B 3erll ecm radar dep sniper/flanker and managed to help turn a 10 - 6 game into a 10 - 12 win in it with 3 kills 4 assists 640 damage 429 points 2 solo 3KMDD . First time I had a rush playing this game in a long time.

people hate it, but I have lots of fun in a hugin. Pretty much stock...just maybe upgrade to endo or something to get more space for armor and ammo. I've done pretty well in it,and it ticks assaults off when you sneak up on them and chew them apart with one.

Top picks:

Warhawk with LBX-20, 3mPLAS, 2 x A-SRM6, 1 x A-SRM 4... amazing brawler, bit squishy, just don't go in alone.

Mad-Dog with LBX-20, 3 x A-SRM6, assym build with MDD-C right torso and arm for armoured shielding side

Stormcrow with 12 x sPLAS... wubcrow... wow :)

If you are looking for something fun, and yet a bit ridiculous, I would recommend the Catapult K2 "Boomstick" :)
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...b90bc572471f3e1

A bit difficult to use (mostly due to the range sweet spot of about 200m), but still pretty amusing. I get a kick out of it anyway.

There is also the "Snaggletooth" as well.

You could always put the PPC in the side torso if you wanted to (to spread the firepower over the chassis), but I'd keep it in the arm personally for the extra versatility.

Those are a couple of my fun builds (K2 Edition).

Not sure if this will work, as I am doing it on an IPad at the office:

[smurfy]http://mwo.smurfy-ne...db812fc2a98cd58[/smurfy]

It's the 2LBX and 2SRM4 build. I was confusing my builds and this one is with an XL255 to get you to 74KPS
Remember it is for face tanking fun, not endurance. So just 4 tons of LBX ammmo and 1.5 on the srms (I try to only use them if I manage to get REALLY close) You should have sufficient ammo to kill three mechs fresh and if you can hold back and take more of a helper role sky's the limit. To make the STD build, I believe it is a STD 250 (I think I must have been confusing a Jagger build up above...sorry), just drop a gun and a ton of ammo and then add a ton of SRM ammo, upgrade the launchers and add the lasers (and move the jump jet over). The alpha on the std is better and if you can twist it is actually pretty effective (all things considered) but you lose a lot of the benefit of the cool down. Another way to do the std build is just stick with 2LBX and nothing else (I call it the Hobo).

Any Cicada is fun in my books, but especially the "bad" variants like the 3C. 4MG and 1xERPPC is pretty fun to toy with.

Otherwise LB10X is always fun. Love my brawling 2xLB10X, 4xSRM4 King Crab >:D
