So with the upcoming tech advance, what sort of mechs do you fellows want to see in the next two mech packs? I'm thinking there'll probably be one for the Inner Sphere and one for the Clanners. I'm something of a Clan fanboy, so forgive me if I'm not familiar with a lot of the Inner Sphere designs, but this is my dream list for each:

Inner Sphere:

Assault: Either the Sunder or the Templar. I never see people talk about the Templar on here, but i think it would be a nice addition. I loved it in MW4! The Sunder is just a beast. The Annihilator would be my third choice.

Heavy: The Avatar. It's so ugly it's beautiful. Please and thank you. I also remember the Thanatos being tough as hell in MW4.

Medium: My favorite IS Medium--and the only IS mech I've pre-ordered--was the Bushwacker. That Said, another favorite is the Uziel, though I also liked the Hellspawn and the Argus. Any of these would be great additions.

Light: Not a big light pilot, but I remember the Osiris and Razorback fondly.

Clanner:

Assault: My favorite mech of all time is the Mad Cat/Timber Wolf. That said, who doesn't want a version rocking dual-Gauss Rifles and jump jets that 15 tons heavier? Mad Cat MKII would be flipping awesome. Another good choice would be the Warhammer IIC. Unless I'm mistaken, it's the one of the three mechs from MW2 that's still missing from the game.

Heavy: Nova Cat would be cool, not gonna lie. Rifleman IIC would be awesome cause it looks like a freaking samurai.

Medium: I know it's a long shot, but like I said, I'm a Mad Cat fan, so...MAD CAT III. Awesome medium mech that's armed to the teeth. I love it. Never been in a Mechwarrior game, so I think it's about time. Also, Shadow Hawk IIC. Looks like an excellent brawler with a lot of stamina cause of its laser-missile loadout. The Conjurer aka Hellhound would be a sweet mech too, and would look badass.

Light: Once again, not a light pilot. But I'd like to see the Wolfhound IIC and the Artic Fox. Hells yes.

Anyways, that's what all I'd like to see in the near future from good 'ole PGI. What about you fellows? I've only played the Mechwarrior and Commander games, so I'm not familiar with a lot of mechs from the tabletop and such, so I'm super curious to hear what the community has to say!

So glad I was able to get back into Mechwarrior after all these years. Looking forward to the future of this game, and also Mercenaries coming out next year. Fingers are crossed for a Clan expansion pack after release. Posted Image

I foresee serious issues with hitboxes, hardpoint/arm positioning and so on with the Uziel. Argus is not a medium, it's a heavy (and jokingly called the lightest assault mech ever, if the MW4 flavor text is to be believed). Argus could be an insane weapon-truck of a mech with fantastic hitboxes for an XL engine. Annihilator is just ridiculously tall, has a terrible torso profile no matter how you slice it, and might actually be too easy to headcap unless PGI were VERY careful with the hitbox. Thanatos is wider than a damn barn door.

Oh Yeah! I forgot the Argus was a heavy! I was thinking it was a 50 tonner for some reason. Thanatos and Annihilator might not be viable, you're right.

Thanks for the reply!

Honestly, I've got all the mechs and more in my barn than I can reasonably drive regularly and don't have any real gaps in my weight classes. So, I'm not really dying to see more mechs honestly (although... even being a strict IS pilot I'd be happy to see the clanners get Anything in the 20 ton bracket to fill them out a bit.. being fair and all)

Weapons and tech. That's l really want to see bolted to all my existing mechs. :)

Sorry, I know it's not really the spirit of the question, but 'none' is a valid answer as any ;)

Truth to tell? I want some new robots.... but I still am hoping to see some classics trickle in.

In particular:
-Singer/Wasp
-Vulcan
-Dervish
-Crusader
-Charger

All of which I think could still be fun/interesting, a few which could be quite viable, and most of which also have some neat New Tech updated Variants.

Now....... as for pure "New" robot... (for which I'll look to 3055 or later)

From TRO 3055:
Inner Sphere
-Jackal
-Bandersnatch
-Gunslinger

Clans
-**Vapor Eagle
-Locust IIC
-Rifleman IIC
-**Warhammer IIC

TRO 3058
Inner Sphere
-Nightstar

Clan
-Piranha
-Thresher
-**Crossbow
-Grizzly

TRO 3060 (where we really start seeing Upgraded Variants)
Inner Sphere
-Tai-Sho

Clan
-Commando IIC
-**Arctic Wolf (and Arctic Wolf 2)
-Predator
-**Nova Cat

TRO 3067 (Where the fun times really start, techwise)
Inner Sphere
-**Osiris
-Razorback
-**Chimera
-Hellspawn
-**Uziel
-Argus
-Thanatos
-Fafnir

Clan
-Solitairre
-Lobo
-Madcat mkII
-Scylla

** indicates most wanted. Out of all of those, the Arctic Wolf is probably the one I want most, of the post 3025 era.

I want a rifleman 7M.
RFL-7M

A "Project Phoenix" model built by Vicore Industries and introduced in 3066, the 7M was intended to act as a long-range sniper unit. It was armed with two Light Gauss Rifles, six ER Medium Lasers, a Small Laser, and a Guardian ECM Suite. Both the Blakists and the Free Worlds League used this Rifleman to provide protection to their command units.

Warhammer IIC

The great thing about adding both the Rifleman IIC and the Warhammer IIC is now we don't need an excessive amount of made up variants with the new tech. With the new tech we now have access to:

- RFL IIC Prime

- RFL IIC 2

- RFL IIC 3

- RFL IIC 4

- RFL IIC 5

And Possibly 6, 7, and 8 If we get plasma cannons, HAGs, and AP Gauss Rifles if PGI wants to ignore timeline chassis release. Not sure if the three weapon systems mentioned above are apart of the 3067 tech era. Now for the Warhammer IIC chassis.

- WHM IIC Prime

- WHM IIC 2

- WHM IIC 3

- WHM IIC 4

- WHM IIC 5

- WHM IIC 6

- WHM IIC 7

Variants 8 though 12 will be questionable since they use plasma cannons, experimental RAC's, fusion engines, and anything above 10 dips into the dark age era.

Without the new tech we were only limited to the Rifleman IIC prime and 2. For the Warhammer IIC the prime and 2nd variants as well. So I'm looking forward to the possibilities and builds that both of these mechs will bring forth into the game. Really hope they go with this artwork as well for both mechs.

For clan mechs my list is the same as it was almost exactly a year ago when I posted this list.

-Horned Owl 35t battlemech (existed before but has variants with 3060s tech)
-Coyotl 40t omnimech (old)
-Nova Cat 70t omnimech (totem) (came out 3059 but has a variant in 3064)
-Mad Cat MkII 90t battlemech (3066)

The light, heavy, and assault are what I really want though. The Coyotl isn't a big deal to me, I mostly picked it because it is the first true omnimech. But I think that would be a good mix of Battlemechs and Omnimechs. And actually I think that would be a good idea, do 2 Battlemechs and 2 Omnimechs. However make it 2 IS Omnis and 2 Clan Battlemechs. And the 2 Battlemechs I picked (Horned Owl and Mad Cat MkII would work well for new stuff) I need to figure out what IS mechs I want though.

Mad Cat MkII. Won't be too OP because of the Jumpjet weight, but still good.

Mad Cat MkIII. Micro Lasers will be out. Make me more Mad Cats. >:3

Dude, got some cool freaking mechs on this list! I totally forgot about the Starslayer and the Menshen. But of course, I wasn't ever really a fan of the Liao Mechs, except for the Lao Hu. That thing was pretty cool. All of these would be great additions!

I feel ya man! The Fire Moth would be awesome, but from what I understand it wouldn't work well on this game cause its stupid fast. Alas!
Also, I'm totally with you on the weapons thing! I'm really hoping for a mountable Long Tom, MRMs--Streak MRMs for the Clanners--and Rotary ACs.

Lobo. Because I recently got attached to it. Posted Image

Really the only thing wrong with it was they made it look too anime, and perhaps also its name - though 'Lobo' is still better than 'Linebacker'.

Built as a 40t Timber Wolf companion mech by Clan Wolf to replace the Linebacker after their split with Clan Wolf in Exile. It was going to be developed into an omni-mech but I guess they never got around to it.

So far all clan battlemechs have been assaults. A medium might be fun.

For the IS:

Light- Kabuto: simply put, we need more 20 tonners, and why not the funny looking Kuritan minimech?

Medium- Chimera: a 40 tonner built by the union of three companies from enemy factions? Sign me up. Also pretty nasty in MWLL.

Heavy- Dragonfire: honestly, I would prefer the Merlin, the Excalibur, or the Lancelot over this, but this is the only one that seems viable out of the "Medieval" mechs.

Assault- Hauptmann: Hey, it's a standard Omnimech. Plus, it could carry a lot of firepower if it downgraded the LB20X.

Clan

Light- Howler: It's the only 20 ton Light that isn't a Locust retcon. Thats good in my books.

Medium- Mad Cat MK III: I know its a stretch, but I would like for this mech to make it into the game. At any rate, it would be a better mech than some alternatives(You know what I'm talking about).

Heavy- 60/70 tonner: Honestly, I don't really care what Clan heavy gets in.

Assault- Naga: I would love for this mech to show up. Partially to complete it's set(It is one of the three descendants of the Woodsman, alongside the Gargoyle and the Timby.), partially because of it's role.

Would love to see the Osiris. Seems like 30 tons is the sweet spot for mech scale and tonnage. Though we only have the Commando as a 25 ton mech. Be curious to see the Nexus since it has JJs

Fafnir and Thanatos. Loved those mechs in previous MW titles. Thanatos may look like a shadowcat's dad, but I'd like to have another 75t heavy with JJ, ECM and decent engine cap.

Fafnir? Just Badass! Might be the first 100t mech I'll buy. Could also be the first mech pack after 3060 release. Those dual heavy gauss are good for sales as well Posted Image
