My Kitfox with three AMS, empowered by overload, and ECM suite is also far better than having both Radar deprivation and map knowledge!
In seriousness, unless I play lights and assaults, I sometimes even skip radar deprivation. You just know where are the hard cover and... map knowledge in general.

1. I prefer to use that weight to increase my firepower
2. If I see [incoming missile] I immediately hug a building or worst case scenario an assault mech (sorry)

Don't forget ablative cover too... also known as taller mechs.
