What? Really? I love Scorch's paintjob o_o

You want terrible paint, look at the Grid Iron.. Okay, I'm just not a football fan... Objectively bad paint would be any of the Clan omnimechs sans a special pattern... 90% gunmetal grey, with a few bands of color... Alright, fair enough, in lore clans didn't like waste, and throwing a bunch of paint at mechs probably wasn't top of their concern list, but still...

That is true but in Lore while the clans didn't like waste they were all about clan unity and had almost all their mechs painted in such a way that both clan and unit of origin was quite obvious. To them showing who you were and where you were from was a mark of honour.

Mech looks good, animation really looks a bit too direwolfish. The collectors badge, dunno kind a looks unfitting more like a planet with a ring and not like an exploding star.

And the pic of the mechs camo, wow looks very much like the old scrappy IS style, weren't clanners supposed to look more newish and taken better care off?

I did Model it, and I start with the orthos and then try to match the concept perfectly, deviating from the orthos when necessary.

can you please show us the mech in the emchlab without any wepaon on the arms, and one with only 1 or 2?

the mech has a heattreshold of 72.4 so you can fire all 6 CERLL without ghostheat and still have all beams at once. so no shutdown needed for a window of 0,425 secs (theoretically)

This mech was literally built right after the clans were founded by Aleksandr Kerensky in 2786 as a replacement for the King Crab in 2846 due to AC ammo shortages. This well before omni mech tech was wide spread so I expect it to have that IS look to it.

Can't wait to get my hands on it.
Especially with the new quirk system in place.

Not entirely, it is before the IS went crap and so it should still look good, because clanners care about stuff and IS not, clanners can properly repair stuff, and is forgot just how to manufacture most basic mech equipments and had to rely on salvage. Thats why even if in timeline being earlier, isn' meant to look like a pile of scrap that was found on the shore of oceanic planet.

I'd rather see them do the sensible thing that MW4 and MWLL did and make the missile pods separate from the torsos with fixed "bonus" armor value that can't be changed and doesn't effect the overall max number of armor bits on the mech. Those big old ears are one of things that "make" the Timber Wolf visually, and not having them feels like sacrilege. But with them part of the ST hitbox, it also makes the TBR (and similar mechs like the Mauler and Bushwacker) a lot more fragile if you take them.

MWO could have a complex hitbox dynamic but it does not, I am surprised at this since it should be doable as could be a quad legged mechs

I feel it is things like this that make it a a disappointing game at times

the Skill tree is still happening, it's just delayed a month, because they actually listen to us Posted Image

Right but they nerfed quirks in preparation for the skill tree, so they may buff the SNV quirks slightly for this first month without the skill tree, but I suppose that is unlikely.

Nice picture !

Firing 6 Clan-ER-Large-Lasers will possibly lead to some Ghost Heat !!

So this seems to be the best setup for the Supernova !!

Well done PGI.

Still on the fence if I should get it.. Does it have anything the MAD-IIC doesn't except those 5 tons more? I don't really see anything.

Jump jets on all variants I guess? The location of the torso E mounts will matter a lot for some people. Chin will suck, but if they're up on the shoulder in the vents, could be good. The hero seems like it'll be strong.

They aren't up in the vents. Based on what Mark told me the are likely on the cheeks, where those trapezoidal panels are.

No not that low, they are probably to the right and left of the nose.

Its beautiful. Now, how good will the hitboxes be I wonder?
Even if its a "Super" Nova. I would imagine it could mount 6 + lasers in each arm, maybe a Supernova II?

No, the quirks won't be any better than the HGN2C's have. Its the same tonnage and engine cap.

While I agree that it won't get better quirks than the HGN-IIC, those two things alone are insufficient rationale for that fact.
