why spread the ammo out? its c.a.s.e. protected and would crit pad in the torso.

You crit pad with things that don't explode. You spread the ammo so you have less chance of causing a chain reaction and losing a whole component. Every clan omnipod is cased.

That build makes my brain hurt.
