Still it made page 2, rather than the crap fest that is page 3....

Despite MWO's short falls, it is decent, but I'd like to go beyond decent to good.... how ever that would require actual commitment to a direction from PGI, and following through on that commitment in something other than a half-assed way

I don't think those games are ordered by bestness. At least I hope so. Otherwise, PC Gamer has rated TF2 below ST:O and Winning Putt.

Eve Online is on page 2 along with some other outstanding games. BattleTech/Mechwarrior games are not as appealing to the masses as typical shooters or MMORPG so there is absolutely nothing wrong about being on page 2. There are a lot of other games that would like to be mentioned there.

I don't think it's meant as an actual numeric list for positions, rather the games that are page one, are better over all than those on page 2, while page 2 is miles better than page 3.

Yet, Path of Exile is a F2P game based on their own created IP.

There's something to be said about creating your own IP and thriving, while actually having an existing IP, and be meddling at best.

Sounds like someone is still trying to pretend that there is a grand arching theme to the game and it has some narrative to it, instead of it being the arena shooter that it is.

Copy like that makes it sound like it's paid for or else they didn't do much looking into the games that they put on the list (or both). I wouldn't put too much stock into a list like that. It's sole goal is to generate ad revenue not to do any in depth analysis of what makes a good game.

page 2 is crapfest
Furthermore..the owners of the game will never hear you or listen to you're request,,suggestions,,and/or demands..UNTIL every-1 stops spending money...when ppl stop spending money is when the owners will open the ears and truely hear you all..not cuz they care..but becuz the greed is in need =)
BY that time..the game will be nearly dead and beyond saving.

Fantasy is a lot bigger market than Mechwarrior. There is no real innovation in creating another fantasy game. They all use the same basic building blocks stolen from Tolkein and fairy tales. I am not going to give them much credit for creating a unique IP. Just put a different skin on the same old tried and true formula.

It's less about the IP, as the game was developed from scratch.

PGI literally modded CryEngine 3 for MWO, and they still suck @ UI development (see skill tree on the PTS).

mwo's problem is unenthusiastic devs.
sheer incompetence can be tolerated only soo much.
