Yes, I am curious here and would be interested in seeing these numbers since about after a month past the release of new mechs they either continue to be the go to mech or fall off as their new shinny paint has worn off a bit.

So from ALL the mechs from the past year, it would be interesting to see what of those mechs is still running strong (hinting at a good or OP addition to the game) and what ones are rarely seen (hinting at maybe not good or UP addition to the game).

I would start with the Mechs released from March 2016 to January 2017.

- Archer
- Kodiak
- Phoenix Hawk
- Viper
- Cyclopes
- Night Gyr
- Huntsman
- LInebacker
- Marauder IIC
- Bushwacker

Bold = Available for C-bills
Underline = Available for MC

Should be interesting Posted Image

What exactly are you looking for??

EDIT, now i get it:

Archer: Don't use any of them anymore except to troll with a 9 srm2 on occasion but pretty crappy
Kodiak: Use the 3 and the SB often still great mechs
Phoenix Hawk: Use 3 of the variants (1-b 1-K and 2) consistently -- a very under-rated mech but require good piloting.
Viper: Still a mech I lilke to play
Cyclops: Stopped playing them -- there are other mechs that do the same job but better..

Well from my personal experience so far with some mechs.

Kodiaks: the 3 still dominating, while the Spirit Bear is keeping up but only so much despite being my favorite variant it simply can't compete with the edge the 3 have in competitiveness. Other Kodiaks are extremely lacking in their field compare to the 3 and Spirit Bear the only one comes close is the 4 if build properly.

Linebaccker: Extremely agile heavies that can be excellent flankers on the field when played properly, and thanks to the needed it quirks I can safely assume they are around teir 2 in the mech hierarchy. But some of the best omnipods are currently behind a paywall til it comes out in cbills.

Nightgyrs: Pretty much like the Kodiak 3 it pretty much a deadly mech to meet in the field and when pilot properly theirs no defense against, but it's major flaw that mechs like the Summoner, and Executioner is safe from is not enough space to use all the tonnage plus the locked jj's doesn't help either.

Huntsmen:Same as Nightgyrs, only problem ST's and Arms blow off way to quickly if someone gives you a dirty look. And the same problem as the Gyrs too much tonnage little space.

MAD IIC: Still monsters of the field, completely outbred the Warhawk in the fields of battle. Top tier Clanner assault needed in the 85 ton department.

Bushwacker: Good mechs once you get the handle of it, can tank like a beast, but build options on each variant is either lacking or will make you die quicker because of the geomenty when equipping ST weaponary.

I'd say popularity goes as follows (does not reflect what I use)
1) Kodiak
2) Night Gyr
3) Bushwacker (for now, because new, will not last long)
4) Marauder IIC
5) Huntsman
6) Phoenix Hawk (for it's good looks and ECM)
7) Viper (for being fun and underrated)
8) Cyclops
9) Archer
10) Linebacker
So all in all I feel the clan releases where more substantial. I am still looking forward to the Assassin and Javelin, as they're both my cup of tee

Unless you're taking SS's and parsing the date (and even that would likely be a statistically small sample size), this is all opinion based stuff.

I've literally tracked the last 996 games I've played to see which map/modes trend strongest, which ones I perform best in etc. and that'd be alot of mechs to keep tally of over the last three months. Is anyone honestly doing that? Are you asking folks to start saving that info and sending it to you?

Opinions change on the quirks or lack thereof for some of them.

PHX was considered garbage from the start... and rightfully so. Nowadays, they are kinda taken seriously, but only because their arms don't fall off (which was duh obvious) like they did from the start.

KDK-3 is still #1 strong mech of them all, despite all the nerfs (especially from people that couldn't be bothered to maximize its potential properly in the first place.

I mean, the meta speaks for itself when you play the game... I mean I'm sure I could go through the list - the easy way to spot trends is the level of content that goes with a particular mech on the forums... except for maybe the Night Gyr (being a top tier competitive alternative to the Timberwolf for a different role).

This would be my guess of the popularity order just based on what I've seen in matches.

Kodiak
Cyclops
Marauder IIC
Archer
Night Gyr
Viper
Bushwacker
Huntsman
Linebacker
Phoenix Hawk

The last 4 mechs though could be a toss up really.
