On 12/19/16, I sent an email requesting an ETA on the fixes for the various dropship bugs.

On 2/1/17, I received an email from support apologizing for their lack of communication. They then asked for an update from ME on the resolution of the ticket by submitting another ticket.

The theory is floating around that they are only using MWO to test the features of that one player crap. They are putting so little resources into MWO that they don't even know what bugs exist.

Anyone want to venture that the new skill tree is exactly what you will see in the single player doll builder game?

the dropshops are just badly implemented into the maps-. I mean, you can imagine, that there is a "visible" flag on the dropship object, you could use when resetting the dropship's position.
it#s a waste of time to open tickets on this ****.

Short answer: Yeah, basically I agree.

Long answer: I was under the impression that they wanted originally to make a new MW single-player game, couldn't get the money, then decided to do a f2p-with-micropurchases pvp game. Several years and who knows how many mech packs later, they now have the money to do what they wanted to do originally. We'll see what happens to MWO once MW5 comes out, especially if there's no multiplayer component of MW5.

Your frustration seems justified, but your conculsion is wrong. If MWO were just a tes-tbed for MW5 at this point PGI would not be pushing the tech jump to 3068 tech summer 2017. MW5 is set in the Sucession Wars 3015ish to 3049. They alrwady have all the tech, mechs and weapins they need for MW5 so why develop anything new.

What would be a valid argument is how much of their time/talent/money is going into MW5 vs. MWO at this point. I have no idea what their department budgets are for the two.

In the long run, most players agree if MWO gets updated to Unreal4 vs. the current Cryengine down the road then MWO players will come out of the MW5 release with a better MWO.

Why would you waste the support teams time on a question like this?

whys everyone assuming the worst of pgi? i thought the last few months show quite a lot of ne dedication. like they were chillin before, and now theyre seriously getting ramped up for making stuff.

also, why would having mw5 play like mwo be a bad thing? it instantly gives people a place to learn how to pilot a mech before getting thrust into a pvp environment. in fact making them similar would be a good thing all around. faster time to make, better for snatching up new players for mwo, and more people playing those features to make sure their fun. i dont see a problem with that.

also, imagine mw5 doing well, and us getting mwo shifted to a better game engine. itd be awesome.

I would like to point out that all the tech jump is going to do is give IS upgraded weapons that are already in the game, simple upgrades to the current weapons. Lets see if PGI adds anything new.

Im not sure if they will add new stuff to the current engine, ATM's for clans wont happen as no ammo switching, light gauss is just a small edit on the current gauss. See where this is going?

The dropship bug has been happening for a while and no response as to whether it is getting fixed or even looked at.

The sign of the end times will be the release of the mad cat II, aka the final cash grab.

Until then, MWO is safe.

You meant Hatchman/Goliath/LandAirMech right?

Since we are doing a time jump maybe we should add gold WoB mechs to that list. :)

This has always been the development pace for MWO. The most effort we've seen from them was the lead up to Steam launch. But after which we've returned to our slower crawl.

FP is what it's gonna be. But they really need to implement some quality control measures so it isn't random one sided massacres. Or at least not as often.

Especially funny since P . I . responded to someone bringing it to his attention at the end of the last Round table.

I really dont want to link every shot I took before I stopped bothering because it became the norm, but this has been happening to multiple people constantly since 4.1 launched. Please go and look at the images. Thankyou.

Maybe they will fix the known issue list to include the drop ship bugs with a hot fix after the patch.

I've been wondering about the lack of actual game content for a while myself... Nearly all PGI's development has been in the area of MORE mechs for us to buy. Their lackluster attempt to fix CW was to cram the QP maps in and dump everyone into 2 buckets... The only place any actual work is getting done is in the area of stuff for us to purchase. Supernova was the last preorder I'm getting until I see some actual work on game content like maybe MORE MAPS or an actual working CW... I'm done throwing my money at these guys when all they do with it is make something else for me to buy... "What, dropship bugs got you down? Here buy a mech pack, that'll cheer you up." Hell even when they do create a map its just a rework of an existing one and not something actually new. If we as a player base actually refuse to buy the new mechs and demand more content and bug fixes maybe we'll actually get it cause right now they're making money while we cry about bugs but still buy their mech packs...
