We had the Skill Tree to look forward to....until the normal complaints pushed it back when it didn't need to be.

That's debatable. Nothing is broken with the current system. So replacing a functional system with a broken system would have been a very poor decision.

Question(s) - did you test the changes on PTS?
Is so, how many 'mechs do you own and what were your thoughts on the proposed system?
If not, maybe you should have and provided feedback to get it pushed to Live?

Heh, do you seriously think that the game that was on the PTS server should have went live?

I knew deep down in my soul that PGI was gonna **** up the skill tree. I bloody knew it.

I kind of enjoyed talking about the skills that would be applied to any mech in the game under the benefit-of-the-doubt assumption that PGI would probably not let the Timber Wolf have the same exact skill buffs as a Dragon...

... even though we all knew full well that PGI would probably let the Timber Wolf have the same exact same skill buffs as a Dragon.

My reaction when PGI went and nerfed the weak mechs on top of that, just to be safe.

Well, if someone wanted that timetable for another exodus to be accelerated... it could always be arranged.

Some notorious overperformers like TBWs and KDKs would have gotten the same amount of skill points as even the underperformers...what do you think would have happened? Most likely a Kodigeddon.

Also, what is so often forgotten: heavies and assaults are even now nimble as hell. Add even more agility quirks and tell me how mechs which rely on speed (e.g. light mech class) would have fared. Most likely even much worse than now.
