Yes, for those of you who dare to step outside of the box. For those of you who "hamper your own skills". Those of us who enjoy a unique build! What do you play that would make a meta try hard cringe at the sight of, then cry salty tears after they are killed by it! What is your Anti-Meta, Meta mechs!

Mine is my TBR-WAR with x GR, 2x A+SRM6, & 4x ERML.
Success usually involves playing at around 400 to 600m from the enemy. Using mobility of th TBR to keep the fight mobile. Then once they are worn out swoop in with the SRM packs to crit out anything opened up. A skrimsher pretty much!

Just don't be a tool with your trigger discipline, and both will murder things.

It's funny out side of (c) Cat's I almost never see them, even post resizing and Dynamic hard point fixes...

That isn't a meta mech design? I think I got that configuration from metamechs.com.

I have fun with stock builds - of course I use more meta like builds if I want to do good in an event. However for just normal quick play, I love rocking the default build for extra salty fun.

Black Knight with 3PPCs and 5 small lasers and a standard engine.
Top Dog with 8 spl, 1 PPC and std 300.
IV-4 with STD 260, 2SRM4+A, 2ML and and AC10.
Enforcer R with an LBX a LPL and 2 ML.
Panther 10P with an LBX.

Most of my 149 mechs are not meta. That (plus general lack of skill) is why I am still t3 after 2 years of play.

I still run my Jester pretty regularly. The K2 gets used occasionally with the flavor of the week loadout I throw in it. The other Catapults almost never get used.

Get on the most hard to get areas really high up and just snipe people from really far away. It's more being a complete ******** than being meta, but you get some pretty hilarious results and a lot of salt.
