Ok starting from zero without subtracting anything: Just to get back what I had free before (the old pilot skill buffs) bankrupts me, even if you think that's only 40 skill points or whatever. That's ignoring quirks which also used to be free.

Don't forget also that respec costs the full amount of the new node unlocked so if you like making changes to your mech the total skill cost of your mech is going to be substantially more than 5.46 million and the required XP is going to be substantially more than 72800.
