I'll just add that, if you plan to buy in monthly installments, you can spend just a few bucks more and get add'l in-game content.

The IS Light Mastery Bundles range from $13-$21 and come with a month of (non-banked) Premium Time.

Then any of the Single 'Mech Packs run $20 for 30 days, 3 'mechs, and a few extras.

If you like the chassis, you can drop an additional $20 for an additional 30 days and an (S) version of one variant, plus a few more extras.

Don't waste your money on stand alone premium. As an add on to mech packs it is a far better deal.

For example 30 day premium from a Locust pack would get you the PT and three mechs with bays.

As mentioned previously, just buy the single $20 mechpacks for premium time. 30 days premium time on it's own is $12 USD, while any $20 USD mechpack gives you 3 mechs + mechbays + warhorn + 30 days premium time.

Never buy premium time alone.
Others are probably in this boat but you can rack up tons of prem time from mech packs alone. 18,720 Hours

Once per year premium time is a good buy, when they do the 50% off for black Friday. Generally you can get discounted MC, buy a year of Premium and an Assault class hero and still have MC left over. Otherwise, mech packs best value the rest of the year.
