More Mechwarrior Immersion Stuff Please

You know.....

PPC hit = HUD Scrambled
Heat above like 80% = sluggish mech, HUD flicker, lose of speed
Active and Passive Radar = dots on the map and stealth mode, seriously this could bring some very interesting game play changes if you could detect with sensors and not need Los (not counting seismic). Also might remove need for radar derp, good player would know when and how to use this, and it wouldn't be rocket science either it's functions.

Also better PTFO rewards and rewards for roll warfare....Iike oh idk if light mechs dont have to worry about just killing stuff....they can be balanced better and reward better game play for them (aka scouting and harassing not brawling and insisting on being an equal force on the front line.) To many times been on either side, light mechs not scouting for our team and we go in blind OR the Light joke who is persistent his 20t Locust should be equal to a 100t Direwolf.

On the Flip side, Assaults get rewards for tanking damage and putting out damage ect. Assualt mechs that don't want thier paint scratched yea....about that one >.<

Give more and well paid rewards for actually doing what your mechs are meant to do.

Get away from the idea of this game is just kill and deal damage....it's about time we added SOME Sim elements back into this game....

You're forgetting 2 major features this game needs from previous titles.

Cockpit glass damage like in MW3, and HTAL. Seriously. HTAL. I need it. Please.

HAHA, nice.

honestly I want the old pred-vision thermal look... the washed out white and black is frustrating to look at.

Unless I am missing something, it is just a different visualization of something we already have.

I absolutely loved the old linear blocky look of the image enhancement from MW2. Not only did it work, but it told you what parts of the mech were badly damaged and what parts of the enemy mech to focus fire on.

H.T.A.L. display is a bargraph of damage. it gives a more accurate representation of armor and internal levels, and allows a mechwarrior to make more educated decisions due to greater granular data levels of existing armor/internal structure.

It also allows for a better decision of where to attack an enemy based on that data.

It's just way, way more accurate than the paper doll we currently have.

In addition to all of that, it is MUCH more colorblind friendly than the current system. I have major trouble telling the difference between shades of green-yellow-red on the mech outlines, but on HTAL it's just a simple bar that I can see and understand at a glance.

Exactly, which is great... I really wish they'd impliment HTAL.

Really you should put this in Feature Suggestions where it will be promptly ignored. I mean it's not like we've been asking for things like this for the past...forever now.

I agree with OP in principle, although some of us came from the previous title in the MW franchise (MW4:Mercs) and didn't really get into the lore, just the great multiplayer aspect...but sure more Mechwarrior immersion is welcome

yes, Yes, YES! The more immersion they can cram into MWO the better. Then theres also the possibility that they might convert MWO into the unreal engine, MW5 Mercenaries will be running, opening up for all sorts of new possibilities. Including immersin effects like hud scrambling etc for sure.. I hope.
