[Bishop Steiner]

I pestered Russ since Closed Beta for an Urbie. I drunk pestered him at the San Fran Launch Event. And I kept pestering him, in PMs, on Twitter, etc...until he finally caved....with a caveat.

The Urbanmech would happen.... IF a certain Pre-order Goal was met. Thanks to our awesome community, it was met, and blown out of the water, and so for 2 years? now I've had my Urbanmechs.

And during all this time, I've gone on the occasional forum binge with my Deputy Dawg design and character, to the point Spooky777 (who has since gone on to work for Battletech offcially) did a nice piece of artwork featuring one version of it.


Then someone poked me a PM with a really well made image of it, that looked legit.... because it IS???????


1 Ballistic in the RA, 2 Energy in the CT and 3 Energy in the LA? Fantastic!

I'm..... I'm blown away PGI would do this, and just as blown away how many community members demanded it. So this is a big sloppy thank you, to all of y'all this made this happen! I look forward to pasting speeding tickets on your butts, very soon!

And how mine will look....

though the sheriffs star and pushbar will sadly not be so.

I never thought I'd see the Deputy make it into MWO. What an amazing surprise. Congrats to Bishop, Spooky777, and all the others who tried to make it happen. This is wonderful fan service from PGI.

all I want is a swat urbie not a cop I want one with a massive riot shield in place of the left arm. Based off an r60l but rt has 2e slots with the ac20 the shield is like the center torso of a heavy in armor.(phone responds weird with this forum)

Well, I think I'm finally going to buy something again in this game.
Please, oh please, let the lights activate when this thing gets a kill!

Or...better yet, make it an option to turn flashing lights on/off like missile bay doors.

Now that the Locust has become boring *gasp* (at least until it gets nerfed again and people stop considering it too good [i.e., usable]), I think DD will become my #1.


BTW, when is this thing coming out? I want to know when to patch up my client. I don't care about any other news about the game for the time being.

I feel with you mate, I really do.
We need some more variaty in this game... quads would really be nice.
Probably after we have thrown 55t of quarters at Russ he will ad them to the game.

lol ... Bish why are you so surprised that PGI will make any mech as long as you throw jack at them? If PGI can do anything, it is slapdash a skin on a mech and charge your for it. PGI's real problem is being able to make a game that people want to play.

I have to admit that despite having closed my wallet to MWO post Bushwacker....I will almost for sure by the police bar Urbie.
