lol ... Bish why are you so surprised that PGI will make any mech as long as you throw jack at them? If PGI can do anything, it is slapdash a skin on a mech and charge your for it. PGI's real problem is being able to make a game that people want to play.

Is it possible for there to be one thread without butthurt and QQ? seriously? **** you got to be the life of the party. *SMH*

Meh, its just an Urbanmech, and one with a terribly bad paintscheme as well. Seriously, put Saint Ives Blues' paintscheme onto K9, then we'll have something good, because currently the most interesting thing about that Urbanmech is the lightbar.

"Just" an Urbanmech?! There is no such thing as "just" an Urbanmech.

eh, Requiem is always Debby Downer, so tuning him out takes no real effort when he goes there.
Also, i can already see where all the color channels are, and just switching the grey to white will do the trick, as the arms and lower legs, etc are in black.

I think honestly everyone is over reacting to it. Must be that herd sheep pack mentality. However, congrats to Bishop on getting his concept art as an official hero. I liked the name Deputy Dawg better than K9. A K9 unit usually applies to a dog and I see nothing that applies to that on the urbanmech, lol. Probably should have had a bobble head German Shepard that comes with the urbanmech or something.

eh, considering that Urbies are usually following the team like a lost puppy, and are almost a mascot mech in Battletech? Oh, and that you know... the name was deputy DAWG (aka dog).... I mean... it could have ended up the Barney Fife....

"Usually" following around the team as a lost puppy is an understatement my friend. Let me introduce to you my King Urban....

Bishop, congratulations on getting the K-9 (aka Deputy Dawg) into the game.

I look back to all the posts from the Urbie Curby incident (april fools joke) to all the work on that thread that is still going. Then we got the little buggers. Now the hero mech and one that we have to say would not be there without your and many other peoples persistence.

I'm buying the K-9 and I am certainly getting that super sexy Zeus.

But I do think they should cannonise Bishop, that awesome little dude is piloted by him and it's a house Steiner Mech. Unknown, Unknown is not true!

Congrats Bish. I'm glad to see you get this hero.

If PGI ever gets this game to a state that I feel deserves my additional support, this K-9 will be the first mech I spend cash on.

I admit, I'm pleasantly surprised (for a change) on something PGI has done.

The one downside here is that the hardpoint layout basically means that most people who buy it will inevitably make it into laser vomit (5 energy 1 ballistic). People do that already on normal Urbies, but this one is basically custom built for it.

There should have been like 2 missile hardpoints somewhere in there to make it feel more unique relative to other Urbies.

Congrats. Happy to have another Urbie in the line up. I never would have guessed I'd play them so much.

Hmmm, I guess it's a copyright issue with naming it, "Deputy Dawg." I wonder how long that copyright will last...isn't that cartoon really old? 1963...+70 years - guess we'd need to wait until 2033 until we could use that name. Oh well.

At this point, really need to know the details on the flashing lights. That feature is a must have.

Pretty much agree with this. It's great that PGI made "Deputy Dawg" a reality (really hope that light bar works!), but I would have liked to have seen something a bit more unique in the way of hardpoints. Maybe 2 B, 2 E, 2 M, let the MechWarrior choose.
