Bushwacker is an awful mech. I regret buying it.

So you successfully used your arms to shield damage? The Awesome would LOVE to trade places with you.

Still got most of your weapons though. Better than some other mechs I can think of...

Meanwhile, it's the only IS Medium mech in the game I enjoy running. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

I'm racking up plenty of kills in it and loving it.

2AC10s in the torso and a ML CT

4 SRM6+A in the torso with ML in CT and mg in right arm

2LPL right arm, 2MPL CT, 2 MG LT/RT

All are doing a great job.

So, you managed to shed your arms and spread the external damage well. The only internal damage to the torsos entirely from heat related issues. Many mechs would just hate to be in be in its shoes as a damage spreading machine. Posted Image

Whaaa?
I think you're getting too close, too fast. I've been having a great time and I'm still surprised how well it soaks damage. I compare them to my Crabs, where I usually scrape by unless I drop a leg - arms are disposable!

idk, it fulfills my med ballistics boat fettish. ironically this is the same role the crab hero will take on, but since i already have a medium ballistics boat, i dont need the crab. gj pgi. ive not had a whole lot of arm problems either.

Skip to about 50 second mark. That probably doesn't help the Bushwacker either, having rear CT hittable from the side.

Depends.... If you're running an XL engine and one side torso goes soft on you, you can more effectively shield with a torso shaped like the Bushwacker or Crab. If you need to shield the CT, then you've got problems, obviously, but it's a tradeoff.

If you weren't running Streak2s, you might actually kill the mechs shooting at you faster than they take off your arms.

T1 running streaks.

This is why the QP PSR system is just a wasteful experience bar.

Also love all my Bushies. Have all but the hero now, probably pick that up next to round out the stable. They SEEM like better SRM hogs, but I am finding I love them as ballistic mechs. Got one with 2xLB10, 4SPL that is a fantastic closer. 2xAC10 and ML is dependable and durable. 3xAC5 and ML shouldn't work but hammers out piles of damage. even with XL's they seem to spread damage like a champ.

I'd say it's just not your preferred ride, nothing wrong with that.

The Bushwacker lacks real quirks like +20 CD on ballistics and such. Its an IS chassis, in my opinion it needs a moderade buff.

That being said, some other chassis would need even more love.

It is not the mech it is your playstyle. Using streaks is not worth it and you are seeing the results of too much facetime to get locks. It's why most people use srm 4's or 6's. Since it is a medium it is best suited to strike and get out (back to cover) quickly.

Switching your loadout and treating it as a medium will give you much better results.
