If there ever were a Battletech Movie? Would you watch it? What do you expect? Do they make their own models, or build upon PGIs?

No I won't watch it because I think it would suck, as most video game to movies tend to be.

I would watch it... IF it was not just another Giant fing robot movie... Meaning their would have to be a damn plot other than big robots attacking big robots.... Yawn...
Pay for a great writer R.A. Salvator to do a book, then adopt it to a screen play using a DAMN GREAT SCREEN PLAY WRITTER... Then do the movie right with a good budget... 125 million at least...

The thing is, in this day and age, people have seen everything unless they are too busy living under a rock. Anime and games have made mecha and robots a depleted and exhausted theme, that their only value in movies is as a side role --- District 9, Star Wars, Avatar, etc,.
Giant Robots --- Yawn.
Smaller mecha sized robots --- even more Yawn.
Nobility looking to gank each other to take over their territories --- even more yawn.
Even on anime, the genre has collapsed, with only Bandai and Sunrise subsidizing their yearly Gundam series to sell more model kits.

If it was a series like Game of Thrones maybe, focussing more on the political backstabbery... it might work.
