Ran a pretty fun table top version of "Escort" tonight. A lance per team (with the escorted Altas as a 5th mech). Escorted Atlas had no weapons, but was allowed to do physical attacks. I came very close to getting him off the board and savoring a hard won victory.......until my opponent headshotted him.....with an AC20!
Any one else done any MWO inspired TT games?

Not to many (if any) BT fans where I live. I do play some TT WAR Games once a week (and have for 20+ yrs with the same guys), but those are mostly Civil War or WWII games.
Also, in a nearby town (where most of the 'wargamers' live in my area) the book stores have stopped carrying TT Games other than Magic and similar. Wargamers like to go browse the boxes and get a feel for the game before plopping 40 to 140$ for a game (some are higher $, but not many are less except a few add ons). Most are purchased online now with many having little to no info about the game....
I miss the days of going to a book store to check out the latest from Avalon Hill or SDI or Gamedeigners Workshop. Not only did we get to see the newest (or older) games but there was almost always someone else there doing the same thing. A discussion would break out and before you knew it, a friend was made and gaming day was set for whatever game the 2 (or more) of you enjoyed.....

I was at DunDraCon in California maybe a month back. Saw about six major B Tech games running throughout the con. I don't remember my games taking as many hours back in the day but that was just two players controlling up to 8 mechs and these had as many as eight players with a lance each.
