How Do You Spec Out New Mechs Or Mechs With Not Enough Xp On The Pts ?

I can only apply nodes to mechs i have a ton of historical xp on that transfer to current exp. If i dont have enough historical xp or buy a new mech i cannot apply nodes bexause the exp is red. I dont see a way to use gxp in the pts.
What am i missing?

Click on the left side of the mode to use GXP
Hover over it and you'll notice text pop up

Ah thanks. Thats terrible design. How about a master toggle switch xp or gxp..

As to "new" mechs. You play them and unlock as you go, same as it is now.

I thought XP would combine for all variants into a pool, so if you had 3 types of (mastered) Ravens. Then you could choose to dump all the points into 1 of them with the new skill tree if you wanted.
