I'd like the community to come together with their voice on this. I see lots of people really dislike the idea of having to buy a punch of skills that are absolutely useless for their mech to get to what they want.
I'm asking if we can just get some linear trees. They will be much simpler for players to understand and will make players happier by letting them actually choose what their mech will be for and specialize better. This will allow for more diversity on the field.
Also could we get that 20% spread reduction on LBX back please?

Forcing suboptimal or straight up bad choices on players is not good design. This is neither fun, nor rewarding. It feels bad as a player.

I do remember one of PGI's goals was to increase player customization via the skill tree, but by forcing people to take lots of stuff they don't need you end up with lots of very similarly skilled mechs, as everyone is forced to take junk instead of specializing.
