I think it should be stock Urbies only we don't want anything too fast now

100 is at 54/58 KPH, 125 is at 67.5/72.6 KPH, 145 is at 78.3/84.2 KPH, 170 is at 91.8/98.7 KPH, and 180 is at 97.2/104.5 KPH.

At 125 - 145, Urbie is still at many medium/heavy-speed. To put that into perspective, a Timber Wolf runs at 81 KPH, a Night Gyr runs at 64.8 KPH, a Marauder with 360 runs at 78.7 KPH, and a Warhammer with 360 runs at 78.7.

I get that VS urbies, running at XL170 and XL180 is best, but usually they are energy builds, cause ballistic weapons are heavy. XL170 - XL125 is my engine for heavy ballistic builds like if i was running AC5, UAC5, LB10X, AC10.

Relax this topic is about fun urbie events so have fun come up with some good ideas, maybe even impress the devas with something so earth shattering cool they will make it happen. Oh and the true mechwarrior meta is the urbie! Who will be king of the urbies will it be you?

Yes it was a joke.....but actually what would be wrong with a stock Urbie battle, you will still have you T1 skills all that would be different would be the pace.

OK as you understand I was making fun of trying to do meta build for what is a mech that is not really a meta mech, I still go for a stock urbie furball, it would be fun and challenging at the same time. it would a very different type of game I say that as someone whom find some of poke inducing maps a real bore at times, I slow mech with jump jets fighting each other would actually be fun hell on Polar Highland trying to meet each other before the time run out first one to scratch paint wins

To the point There are two types of competition the ultra competitive ones where everyone META up their mech and the fun ones where people just take piss out the idea of the competition.

For a mech that in lore was actually in minor inconvenience to other mechs, I'd reckon the Mech gods would go for FUN over anything else. I have Meta builds for most mechs it is the only way to survive in MWO so actually a non META build day would be fun

I'm actually pretty good with english, i write stuff. But I'm not the type of person that gets a joke quickly. Like Sheldon Cooper or something, but not as funny or smart. Even SC has a girlfriend and i don't.

Tier 1 does not mean that all we do is meta-builds, it's just that we played the game long enough. I play Urbanmech constantly, and it's literally a joke mech, outperformed by actual meta lights like arctic cheetah. Hell, I Gauss the Urbie, nevermind meta, does that sound responsible to you?

I also get that you don't like meta, fine, i too don't like it. But to say that anything not STD60 is a meta urbie, that's just annoying.I get that you want fun and it's fun for you, but i tried STD60 and it's not fun for me, maybe others to. 32 KPH and slow turning speed, honestly it would be fine if the turning speed is fast but it's not. MWO has immense maps, 32 KPH is not helping. If you want slow, XL100 is fine, it's still slow, but it's in range of Assault movement speed.

You are a T1, I know because you've displayed it. To get to T1 you have to work pretty hard play a lot of games get good match scores, a commendable thing. it mean that you have to have a level of competitiveness. So the irony is that given a chance to forgo that competitiveness you can't.

I presume you do not get the Irony in your response to my first post, We all agree that the Urbie is poor mech, PGI only put it out because the community thought is would be a hilarious idea to have a completely non competitive mech on the scene.
We are getting a hero version of that Mech, and the point of these post is to come up with fun ideas to celebrate it release by playing against other Urbies. Since the mech is crap and we could not ever survive against other mechs. yet going up against other stock urbies is to much as T1 player essentially one of the best of us here. The irony is that a T1 player turns around and says in a fun competition that going stock is too much fun and not enough competition is in my mind irony. That you doubled down on this was hilarious,
To put it simply I would have thought a T1 player would not care for having higher torso twist speed, or any other factors in a mech which is complete crap. when having others play that same completely crap mech

It is like a Formula 1 driver refusing to do a fun race in a go kart, or a professional golfer refusing to play around of crazy golf for a bit of fun.

And yes I want slow, I want very slow not assault level slow, Urbanmech slowPS having or not having a girlfriend should have nothing to do with your sense of humour

Let me start again:
it appear through the maze of the posts we have lost sight of the fact that what this thread is about is celebrating urbies of which we both have bought. Clearly not for competitive play but for the fun of it. Look at the internal of the cockpit it is full of jokes and irony it is the antithesis of competitive play, A massive troll if you will.

Therefore there is nothing to fear if for example we have a stock Urbie competition.

Your response to that was that it would not be fun and then you proceeded to argue that going for an XL engine and like was not making the Urbie a meta mech. To which I responded but it is, You are making the mech the best it can be. hence why most stock mechs are pretty poor in many aspect and we spend real and virtual money upgrading them to be meta (which means the best they can be)

My joke was that being a T1 you have nothing to fear you are capable of mastering a 32Kmph mech you would not have any disadvantage, to which you replied that you needed your XL engine to make it go faster torso twist better speed, you even missed my joke about going so slow would make me last longer on the battlefield.

It is the irony of good player insisting that his tools are just not good enough for him to play with that is funny. The fact you treated any Urbie competition with that level of seriousness is ironic given the status of the mech as a simple troll, You missed all of this which is why a presumed that English was not your first language.

In truth I be happy to have a competition whereby you could do whatever you like to Urbies but the aim is to celebrate the urbie absurdities not the I am a the best mechwarrior here type competition

If you want April Fools Day to be a Joke event, then the Mod should be a surprise. Death matches are usually quick and pathetic, because it only takes an alliance of three to decimate the rest of the map.

I think it should still be whatever map they voted in, and whatever mod they chose -- the only 'Goof' being that ALL players spawn into the game with the EXACT same Mech. An Escort Map with a bunch of Urbie Smurfs running around the VIP would be hilarious - but so would two dozen Atlas Mechs basically sumo-brawling for fifteen minutes. I don't think it would be too hard to encode something like that for a day or a weekend.
