If you really want to go 100% joystick, try going into 3rd person view. It automatically locks the arms and PGI actually put a slight autoaim into it.

There is no autoaim in 3PV.

Correct. I made that statement, two months ago, which was before Tarogato clarified the visual phenomenon in the video.

its just the reticle rendering differently at different distances combined with seeing from above instead of straight down the barrels.

Hell, since this popped back up and was quoted.. which reminded me of its existence.. I should edit that post so that future Mechwarriors are not mislead.

Can anyone tell me how to adjust the Z-axis sensitivity (Logitech Extreme 3D Pro)?

In-game you can adjust only X and Y. Need additional software to do that.
Z, throttle or turning on LE 3D?

Sorry man, didn't mean to freak on you, just kinda tired of this argument.

I've been frustrated with MWO since release due to just, not being joystick friendly in any way... I mean, sure you can handle movement with it nice enough, but when I could out-brawl mouse/keyboard players back in Mech4 using a Logitech extreme 3d pro... then I come over here and can't even use a Saitek X52 pro without gimping myself, I feel cheated.

it's frustrating man. Mechwarrior used to be about the simulation aspect... but I guess they wern't kidding about MWO "not being your daddy's Mechwarrior"

Regarding left-handed joysticks, I have in another game used a Thrustmaster T16000M, and the grip is configurable into a left-handed grip. It might be something worth looking into for you.

I've been using a controller myself.

My current setup is

L - analog for legs
R - analog for pitch and twist
Z - analog (back buttons) for throttle -- I do this because I really do not like the way that MWo handles it being on the same analog as the turning

Then I have the two front shoulder buttons for firing my main groups, a third group on an analog press and the various other things I find useful to the d-pad and other 4 main buttons.

It's pretty accurate and not all that awkward even once you start to adjust yourself away from playing with the keyboard/mouse.
