92 is odd. I suggested in a post why not 100, but then there might be character limit in the GUI, so 99 would be perfect and would reflect max "level" in many games.

There is no character limit. They really don't have to render the 'Number of Skill Points Allocated' in such a large font. If they shrunk it down just a little, triple-digit numbers would be no issue. Then they could easily do indication for 120 Nodes, which appears to be about the right amount for actually specializing the Mech to be helpful to your team.

I think 50 is a much more reasonable number. I wouldn't necessarily mind if the total XP and cbills cost was redistributed, I just hate all the clicking. There no reason why certain skills couldn't be compacted from 5 nodes to 3.
Amen.

I vote for reducing the number of skill points as well.
With 91 we can pretty much get everything we had on the mech tree before, plus the 4 modules, plus another 4 modules.
It's too much.
There is no choice, but more more more gimme more.
If we drop the points we can also streamline the tree more so people can have what they want.
50 seems good given most full branches are around that 25 pt mark.

This is a thread about a long closed PTS dealing with the skill tree. Thread locked.
