im not to upset with this pts, in fact i think a lot of good thought went into it, but i havent really been trying to break it so i may have missed some stuff. but there is one glaring little problem id like to see changed.
id really like to see the laser hemisphere linked to the ballistics hemisphere. personally, i take either missles or ballistics with laser backups (laservomit too but that isnt relevant here). so to me, it seems like it would make more sense for the laser hemisphere to branch over too the ballistics hemisphere, so you could unlock halfway down the tree laser side, then go the other half down ballistics to uac jam chance and lb nodes without having to take missle nodes.
if that is undoable for whatever reason, then it would make more sense to me to put the laser hemisphere in the middle were the missles are and put the missles were lasers were. this makes it easier (or.... feasable even?) to take mechs with 2 weapon systems, as rarely do you see ballistic and missle combos. instead it missle or ballistic weapons with laser backups(if a backup is used at all).
just something that was bugging me. outside of that, im overall pretty pleased.

I think laser are where they are at because unlike Missile, PPCs, Gauss, AC and UAC which all share velocity, lasers do not. Therefore they go down the left side while the ballistics and missiles go down the right side with access to velocity. Duration goes down the left with Lasers because it does not affect non-lasers.

PPC's are classes as energy weapons so they might be affected by general use belocity, cooldown, and range nodes. The center should be the blue general skills that affect all lthe weapons then side trees for specialty items Laser duration, they should add something for AC and LBX jam chance as well just to be fair since all three can jam.
