...in each class?

So yeah, since it takes so much effort to actually buy a mech and get a mech bay...I wanna see popular consensus(purchasing purposes).

Light: Arctic Cheetah(c) stock load out, got my Ace of spades with her, though i don't' run it much anymore.

Med: Shadow Hawk 2H....redic, everyone just ignores you

Heavy: Ilya Muromets, can go head to head with any mech in the game except Atlas, too much armor.

Assault: Mauler, can deal unanswered damage out to 800m and never let up. Just have a cool shot ready and you can burn through you're entire mag without overheating.

On a side note, I run with the clans, but the IS mechs seem way more run to play due to the multitude of configs you can put them into??? I like my Loki, but man it takes so much just to get another variant that I lose interest. I'd rather buy an IS and play with it in a cr@p config than keep playing game after game trying to get enough $$$ to just buy another varient,

I think that may need to be adjusted? I dunno, but thats off topic. Most lethal mechs, go!

PS who the heck is running that Trebuchet in T4 thats absolutely murdering everyone.
Theres also an nasty T4 atlas with a single red strip across his face thats an absolute nightmare.

lights= going by stats would be my huginn 215 kills (I don't dare take it out these days)

Med = Griffin Sparky at 353K (I bumped it up to 110kph and it a lot of fun)

Heavy Mech = Jager-S with 966k (I only use it for FP these days so this was mostly in the first year in MWO)

Assault = EXE-D with 202 kills

honorable mention is my TW Streak Wolf considering all the nerfs this Mech has gone through
its still gets many many top damage

I had to move the Streaks from the C to the S so the numbers don't top the Jager
but I would probably have over 1300 kills

*note I am not a good pilot

Lights i don't play seriously cuz bad, and heavies i haven't played enough apparently to form a proper opinion... or at least not one exclusively enough.

Lights: lol god no
Medium: Shadowhawk 2H (3x AC2, 1x MPL)
Heavy: Warhammer 6D (2x LPL, 4x Mlas) [bloated stats because of FW]
Assault: Awesome 8R (4x ALRM15, 2x MLas, Tag) [highest overall in pretty much all categories)

Although I have half a dozen Assaults which beat my best mediums/heavies. 85t+ or go home Posted Image

According to my stats from the excellent Madstats browser extension:

Wolfhound-2, with a kill average of 3.92
Crab-27, with a kill average of 1.83
Black Knight-7-KNT-L, with a kill average of 4.0
Zeus-5S, with a kill average of 2.38

None of these are what I would have predicted. I would have predicted:
Splat JR7-IIC-0 or ACH-Prime
Splat Griffin
Night Gyr-Prime or Timbie-Prime
BNC-3M or Kodiak-3

assault: bnc-3m - 283 kills
usually run with an xl400 and a mix of med/large pulse lasers. this is one of the first assaults i owned.

heavy: ctf-im - 292 kills
with 3 ac10s, a hundred rounds, and an xlsomething engine. boom. i bought it specifically for this build. with its quirks and cd module its pretty much 30 damage, 30 damage, 30 damage, as fast as an unquirked ac5.

medium: grf-2n - 182 kills
pretty much in the standard srm spam configuration. i run it xl for ammo/speed.

light: rvn-4x - 89 kills
dont own this mech any more, but when i did i often used it in troll config with an ac20 or gauss, ac/lb 10. i sold it because my huggin fulfills its role. its probibly only here because it was the first mech i bought. its followed closely by the rvn-3l (by one kill), and the pirates bane is not far behind that.

thoughts:
these mechs all run xl engines. i focus on getting in and aggressively taking a kill with these mechs, usually repeated until i am dead. all these mechs represent my aggressive playstyle quite well. the ctf-im is my berzerker mech, i use it almost exclusively in fast aggressive brawls. you have to because its top speed is low despite the xl engine (its all guns), so my doctrine is to kill the enemy before he determines my loadout, which indicates immediately to take out an st instead of the ct. i find that people sometimes recognize my pain job, so i have gotten into the habbit of changing its colors to prevent fast recognition.

notice the lack of lerms or ranged weapons. these are most useful when used in teams, so it also betrays my pug nature.

im very supprised to see a troll mech in my all time best killing light slot. im going to have to revisit this concept again in the future. actually this role is better fulfilled by an urbanmech these days, and so i think my troll raven days are over.

i dont really think its a fair distribution of kills either. both the raven and the banshee were my very earliest mechs (and the first in their respective weight class ive owned), so i went through a long period of time where those were the only mechs i ran. the griffon is my go to scouting and fp mech, so its been used extensively and the liya is one of my all time favorites. having mastered every mech in the game that you can get for cbills, my average is about 38.5 kills. and it doesnt take going very far down the list to start getting close to that number.

also shocked by the total lack of clan mechs, id expect to see kodiacks, and jenner iics on this list, i guess they are too new to have the backlog of kills that my is mechs have.

Lights will have to be my Pirates' Bane. My best match in that thing saw me do over 700 damage.

Mediums I'm not entirely sure. But going from memory of kills, damage dealt, and points, it'll have to be my Stormcrow Prime.

Heavies will be my Mad Dog A. Yes, it's an LRM5 spammer. Suck on it.

Assaults end up with my King Crab 000(L). Configured for brawling and ambushes.

what is our measuring stick to quantify lethal? Most kills, highest DKr, most damage?

Sadly PGI doesn't track the truly telling stats like KMDD or Solo Kill.

But at a guess, my 2x NARC Adder is probably my most Lethal Light.... not from actual kills I inflict, but from the rain of pain that follows.

By almost any measure, my HBK-4G is my Medium kill machine.

Heavy? I don't even know anymore. Probably my MDD prime.

Assault? Warhawk with 2xERPPC + UAC20... though my KDK3 may overtake it eventually.
That said, am hoping my lil ASN-21 will live up to it's name in another 17 days or so.

Seconded.

Just using KDR and filtering out any 'Mechs with less than 100 matches:

LCT-1E
BJ-1X
MAD-5D
BLR-3M (lol @t his one...is my only assault over 100 and it's miserable)

Loosening up to only 50+ matches:

FS9-E
BJ-1X
RFL-LK (barely...MAD-BH2 is one game shy of 50 and has a superior ranking)
BLR-3M

Light - LRM30 Adder.

Medium - HBK-IIC variants.

Heavy - Loyalty Hellbringer. It had let me down the least.

Assault - KDK-3. Was there ever a question?

****, All of my IS mechs are now second rate in comparison. :(

If we're taking KDR as the most important metric:

L: KFX (all variants) 2.261
M: SHC (all variants) 2.085
H: I don't pilot heavies.
A: Dire Whale (all variants) 1.510

If we're taking total kills as the most important metric:

L: KFX (all variants) 4535 kills
M: SHC (all variants) 30 kills
H: I don't pilot heavies.
A: Dire Whale (all variants) 109 kills.

Cute fox is deadly. Hear it roar.

Based on my KDR(and a reasonable number of games played)

Light: Raven(any), Commando(Death Knell)
Medium: Hunchie 4SP...apparently I'm a freaking murderer in this(not bad in the 4J & 4P as well)
Heavy: Catapult(BB/C1 mostly especially), also Grasshopper(any), Timber(any), Archer(Tempy) and Summoner(any!)
Assault: Stalker 3FB(loyalty)

Lights, well that isn't a good question for me because I love COM. The Deaths Knell is most lethal, but that's because I have a lot more time in it, the COM-1D is poised to overtake it given the same piloting time.

Mediums, Crabs always did me a solid. Wolverine 6K is still a good mech with the old 3LL and 1ML loadout.

Heavy is harder for me since I stick to lights and mediums. I'd say Quickdraws. They are nice and mobile and smaller these days than when I played them regularly.

Assaults, well I suck at those out loud. MAL though for me hands down. I've barely played any assaults and it doesn't go well when I do except for MAL.

When I used to play lights before rescale I played Adder-B, even then I didn't play lights that much to start with.

For mediums it's a very close tie with Sparky and Crab-27B, I'll pick Spark cause it's a hero.

My heavies pick is easy, it's the MAD-3R by far.

And lastly for the assaults it's the EXE-D, cause that MASC is tons of fun(no pun intended).
