There are more that could be added.
But in a web system it makes it awkward to bring in new skills without re-organising the whole thing.
This might be particularly true with the introduction of new tech.
The cost for the skills to level up a mech from scratch is ok.
You could almost get 1 node per match and with premium time or a mech that provides a bonus you will likely earn the c-bills at a nice rate so it's just the XP.
So I don't have a problem with the cost for starting a new mech.
The refund problem that many are worried about is really a different question and should be directed purely as some sort of 'refund change'.
However I do believe there are far too many points.
We should have perhaps 50 points at most.
We should have to make the choice of having a mech that has great guns and great armour, or great guns and is more mobile, or great sensors and can pack lost of consumables.
Etc.
Being able to just keep piling on the bonuses is what was wrong with the original mech tree. We could get all of it and have modules and then the quirks.
So:
- Reduce the total points we can have to 50.
- Streamline the skill tree so we can pick what we want.
- Streamline the skill tree so it is easy to modify without upsetting paths.
