We need an economy for faction War.. the player or unit need a supply of mechs that can be added (Cbils or salvage) or lost in FW. this helps all these factors!!
BALANCE = If the 12 IS mech are cheaper and easier to replace then 12 Clan mech that's a new form of balance.
A reason to VOTE ! = planets we take over for the side effect mech and weapon acquisition costs (a new and separate bank of mechs from pug mechs) do you like the zeus? vote for the planet that produces them take it over making it easier to get them in your NEW inventory.
A reason to be a loyalest = example; Kurita gets cheaper Dragons then all other factions
Salvage becomes a real thing, want to field 4 of those cheep kurita Dragons all fit with an AC20.. you need to have 4 AC20s in your NEW inventory to drop those builds.. so after a game if you salvage an ac 20 you get really excited because you need them,

Specifically regarding the destructible elements and giving some feeling to the maps I thought I'd add this link.
https://mwomercs.com...-battle-states/
There is a lot that could be done with the maps alone and certainly tweaks and changes to existing modes.
Some of the modes work really well in Quick Play.
Some work really well in Faction Play.
The style of play in each of these modes really changes what is good and bad about a map or battle mode.
We don't need a massive number of new maps added, eventually it would become just the same map re-textured so a preference for a good map every 6 months would be quite acceptable.
I do believe we could retain the old maps if for nothing more than a bit of nostaglia.
It might be better to put them in the private lobby as some of the maps were better suited for smaller numbers. they certainly had their own play style though and that was fun. That said, suddenly getting the old map pop up as an option in regular games would be good fun anyway.

Even though there is a connection:
No new maps =/= Stagnant gameplay
Evidence?
Most FPS games have dozens, if not hundreds, of maps.
How many get used?
TF2 being a prime example of that.

So by your logic, you'd be just fine with playing the same map over and over again? I'd say you were the 0.1% of the Populace.

Your effectiveness with short or long range weapons on all maps mostly depends on map knowledge. I don't think it's the case that the maps designs are promoting one style of play over another.

Would rather have dedicated day and night versions instead of the day/night cycle. Maybe add the day/night versions that current maps don't have such as day version of Mining Collective, night versions of Canyon Network, Tourmaline Desert, Alpine Peaks, etc... But please don't make them day/night cycle. I tend to like both day and night and would like each match to be dedicated to one or the other.
For new map ideas I'm fairly open to all, as long as there isn't too much open space in the middle like new Frozen City. I do prefer that there be good terrain and structures for cover. Not fond of the rolling hills/dunes on Polar Highlands. A desert version would be okay if they make the terrain deeper and provide better LRM cover. I voted for Mining Colony, but the others would be fine too.
Assault mode I think is fine. I just don't think anything they do to any mode or any new modes they make will change the prevailing gameplay. It's an arena shooter for the most part and the best way to win is to kill the enemies. I'm fine with that. I think the best mode overall is Conquest since it does have a resource counter that can't be completely ignored and it does allow some variation in how the matches play out-especially when lighter/faster mechs can go off and engage in smaller unit skirmishes. Domination rarely counts to 0 when there are still plenty of mechs still alive and it essentially makes the match take place in the center of the map. Skirmish is fine. I wanted it back when I was new and didn't like base capping interrupting a good fight. Escort is kind of meh. It's okay to play once in a while to change things up. And with Incursion, I typically don't bother with the power cells anymore since they don't actually win you the match. Kill the enemies and shoot the base to win is how it usually plays out. Once in a while the base will be destroyed before fighting ends but, that's rare since it takes too much time to destroy it. And I'm very much against the idea of respawns in QP.
As far as new map injection, I think a new map each month is expecting too much. I'd be fine with every quarter or so. 3-5 maps a year I think is more reasonable.
Better vision modes would be nice. I'd also like to see the overall "look" of everything to be cleaned up and more crisp. As it is, things just look too hazy and dull like there's heavy air pollution. And on some maps, depending on day/night cycle, there just isn't good visibility regardless of vision mode you use. Too bright, too dark, too much haze, etc...
That's all I got for now.

Considering the extremely slow pace we're getting maps as it stands, I don't think it's removely realistic to expect a new map every month. However getting a new map every 3-4 months shouldn't be an unreasonable expectation since games like Overwatch have frequent enough releases that if I've read the wiki correctly they have twice as many maps now as when the game released.
