Greetings MechWarriors. Today I have a simple idea for how to fix the problem with bad or underpowered skill nodes. Add more levels of them! Eventually, at a certain level, they'll not only be worth taking, but potentially overpowered - as a reward for your specialization!

8 votes. 0 replies. Surely someone else is interested in matching wits or proposing their own ridiculous ideas?

We need fewer nodes, not more. Just make the bad skills' numbers higher until they are no longer bad

When has Hill Climb ever been a deciding factor in a win or loss?

For that matter, Speed Retention. Is 50 kph going to help you chase down that last mech or get you to a capture point fast enough to neutralize?

Being forced to use nodes on things i don't need or will have negligible effect is not only flawed design, but does not meet the "choose your own adventure" goal.

Sir. I believe you've missed the joke AND didn't vote!

Exactly. Why keep bad or useless nodes if they can't be reworked into something better? There's no benefit to them. There are reasons we didn't buy their modules.

Do the additional levels require SP? If so, this will not work.

Slowly, my fellow ForumWarriors unravel the depth of this clever joke.

As a side note, I no longer believe PGI is bad at balance. Instead, I now believe they are actually the best at the corrupted wish game.

Even if this is a joke thread, P.G.I need to look at it.

Sadly if this goes live in it's current state the joke will be on P.G.I

I say Sadly in all seriousness, even on a joke thread, because we as a community and P.G.I as a company, need this to be constructed and working well, and in it's current iteration it just doesn't work properly.

My hope here is that PGI DOES look at my joke thread, sees again that people would not only be unhappy with my proposal (because it's bad) but also that the way they're doing it now has made people unhappy.
