Should we restore a powerful and cheap survival tree similar to the first?

The first iteration of the survival tree gave me hope that PGI was changing the nature of the game. We would have our big stompy robots because Time-To-Kill was going up. Everyone took survival tree... not because it was OP, but because everyone wanted the nature of the game to change.

PGI has consistently misunderstood the community's response to the survival tree; nerfing it because they assume that since we are all taking it, then it must be imbalanced. In reality I believe we were taking it as a vote of confidence in the new style of game play.

Personally I would rather the new skill system die than go live, and take the new economy with it. Only a very boosted survival tree would regain my interest. We need things like damage reduction and damage resistance along with the armour and structure boosts... and it should be cheap!
