I play with Ash most days of the week as we are in the same TZ, there is nothing arrogant about him, he likes to take the piss (an aussie trait) and he is a straight talker which can be taken the wrong way by the new PC crowd the world is developing.
Everyone wants new and old teams to get better so we can have good matches, everyone does this in different ways, this is Ash's way.
Im happy for people to post vids on what they perceive as getting better but in return, you need to expect people are going to tell you how it really is and everyone has their own opinions, if you dont want those opinions, dont post.

True, he's actually a pretty nice guy although I haven't talk a lot with him, I am still waiting for him to come clan and play lol.

Many of the longer term FP players will most likely give you critique on your actions but please take it as that and not as an insult. Ash is a good pilot, as are many of the players that have posted here and on occasion us "old timers" can forget the excitement of having that shiny, new unit and figuring out all the little bits'n'pieces of group/team play.....your OWN team at that.
My advice would be to watch videos/streams from other units and see how they move, position and react, map knowledge is a huge force multiplier. Discuss with your team what you think your strengths are and how you can use that alongside the map knowledge, then look over 'Mech build websites like MechSpecs and MetaMechs for ideas on builds that can work with that information.
Pilot skill, both individual and group, will come with time and experience. Don't sweat the score/leaderboards, give yourself and your unit an objective and work towards it, then you will see those numbers start to climb as the weeks/months pass by.
Good luck with the unit and IDI wil see you on the battlefield.

The more obvious thing in your play is that you miss a lot of your shots. It's hard to do in the thick of a fight but save your shots for ones that you can comfortably take(in terms of heat).
So don't alpha at a target and hope something hits somewhere. Your build in the video is requires you to be aiming for specific components on specific mechs and only fire when you absolutely believe it will hit.
Slowing down your pace of fire works well, not every shot needs to be taken when cycles are done. It could mean the difference between 4 ppcs to the CT with the ability to run away or 2 to the ST and 2 to the CT and an overheat shutdown.
Also with your build, I wouldn't care about total damage dealt at the end of the match, just the number of components destroyed. I suggest working to improve your accuracy first before trying to shorten your aim to trigger pull time.
The last thing, heat management. If your team is winning by a wide margin, it's probably fine to overheat yourself that badly. If it isn't, you can opt to leave override off so you don't cook yourself especially while you have armour. The trade-off is never worth it because it means the enemy can move on to another target faster once you kill yourself.

But like anyone else, he gets frustrated when people deliberately play badly, or when people who don't know better refuse to take on board legit feedback (if someone knows what they're doing he'll just joke about bad builds or play).
When he first started drop calling he was much more polite than he is now - but there's only so many times you can have people tell you to:
- go eff yourself, even when you're being mindful of your tone and wording
- Have people ignore the rest of the team (even when you aren't calling it), drop in 2 light mechs in a row, do 25 damage in each...for four matches in a row.
Have that happen for 6 months straight and you'll start getting salty as well (that's just a couple of examples).
I also personally think he was right in suggesting that this is probably the wrong forum for it, but eh whatever - it's not like these forums are actually easy to work with (seriously - so much dross that needs to be cleaned up in total).
But he does have all the subtlety of a tube of veet applied directly to the ball sack, yes.

I'll share builds, I'll help people improve. Our TS is always open to anyone.
But yeah - I am salty. More salty than the salt flats... Cause people argue calls, when I KNOW my calls are good (just look at my stats).
Anyway, I do wish div0 the best. I wanna fire them up, i want them to hunr 54MR on the field (me specifically).
