Proposal :

1. Allow NARC to give multiple rewards per mech, one for each friendly that targets and hits it with LRMs, similar to spotting assists.

2. Allow NARC to give counter ecm assist rewards when you hit a ECM mech with a NARC.3.

3. Allow NARC to give rewards for the same mech again, assuming the original beacon has expired.

Benefits :

More people will use NARC instead of seeing it as dead weight, and will be appropriately rewarded for doing so.

Explanation :

From what i can tell you get 1100 c-bills, 25 xp per mech you narc if it gets hit by LRMs. Only once per mech, per match, doesnt matter how many LRMs hit it or how many friendlies fire on it.

So in the best case scenario (which will pretty much never happen unless you are in a premade with a dedicated NARC ECM spotter vs random newbies) , you get 13,200 c-bills and 300 more xp.

The c-bill amount at least, is literally chump change. No wonder most people arent bothering to use it.

I think at bare minimum it needs to change to something similar to spotting assists....you get the reward for every friendly that hits and damages it, and you can get the reward for the same mech again as long as its a different narc beacon.

You dont seem to get rewards for disabling a ECM mech with a NARC beacon either, which is weird.

honestly, I keep forgetting there even is narc, it's just never seemed worth its use to me.

I wouldn't object to increased rewards, simply because the current reward paradigm is very limited.

However, with that said, NARC doesn't need encouragement. The reality is NARC is brutally effective now, if employed correctly in a match with lots of LRM's. One LRM mech? Doesn't really matter. But when there's several? Suddenly, it's extremely difficult to get away from that steel rain. Worse, you often don't know you've been NARC'd at first, just that missiles keep raining on you no matter where you go. In full out pugs, it's not very reliable (communication issues, presence of LRM's, etc) but in a group it's awesomely powerful.

The sad thing is, if you're pugging it and playing spotter with NARC, your LRM using allies reap huge rewards for kills and damage, and you get chump change.

Higher XP for each NARC locked too. Cause it requires experience to NARC/TAG.

If you NARC AND it causes the player to die, then you should be able to keep his mech and make him walk.

Been nearly a year now, and I've seen NARC at use for a year now......................yes, definitely worth it to have.

as someone with a fondness for playing spotter, it's serveral times worse if you're NARCing to deny ambushes on your team. i've pegged so many derpwolves so my team could ruin their little trap and shred them for no reward to myself it makes ne feel sad.
