Im looking for a Clan mech Heavy or Med. Hope it can run 90 + KPH ( All tho I don't think I can get a Med ) to be used for sniping.

What I want it to have is 2 ERPPC mounted High on torso. 4 SPL or SRM mounts for arms, JJs, ECM, and hopefully the Quirks for energy to go with it.

Shadow Cat ticks most of the boxes, and is the best bet for a steathy Clan Sniper
it can mount 2 ERPPC in hardpoints which are roughly level with the head, on arms or torso, it runs at 97 with no skills, 104 with Speed Tweak, and gets a significant speed boost from MASC, I think it maxes out at something like 119
Few mechs can jump as high and it can mount an ECM on any varient.
however if you take 2 PPC you will not have much in the way of backup weapons because the Shadow Cat does not have the tonage or hardpoints to do that with the 2 PPCs.

no other Mech has high E hardpoints, Jumpjets and ECM, also the Clan heavies cannot do 90 (with the exception of the linebacker, and after the new skill tree you will have to make some sacrifices to get to the 87 they do with speed tweak now)

the Timber Wolf has the high energy hardpoints in the -A right torso, can fit jumpjets with -S torsos, has plenty of arm hardpoints for backup weapons, does 81 before speed tweak (same as most Clan heavies) 87 after.

if you want to trade Jumpjets for ECM then look at the helbringer, same speed as the Timber Wolf, versitile hardpoints but no way to fit Jumpjets.

Try a dual erppc Viper-B, that will you learn you all about proper positioning and heat management.

If you need one, here's the one that learned me to pay attention the hard way: VPR-B

Just how do you pull off duel ERPPCs on the Viper? IIRC after engine & armor you only have about 8 tons left to work with. You could probably do a duel ERLL but no sinks but with that beam duration you would be less noticeable if you popped smoke.

By removing your pants, sleeves, and shirt. Those armor values are scary.

Theres a link to smurfy's for the dual erppc build. You basically run locust level armor to squeeze in that second ppc.

Edit; its less suicidal as it may appear, you have the ppc velocity to be effective at range and you have the speed, mobility and jump capability to keep that distance.

IMO, any build that's cutting into torso armor is almost certainly bad.

Agreed, when I start a new build it is with armor at max & I rarely reduce it by more then a few points.

I am going to give this build a try though for no better reason then I never use my Viper anymore. Worse case I will end the night shaking my head muttering "well that was ****ing stupid" LOL

Any Ideas or Suggestions? Champion or Hero is also OK

So the 2x ERPPC Shadow Cat seems to be the choice of the people. However, if you want options (bad as they may be);

Shadow Cat - 1 ERPPC, 2x SRM4, 2x SPL, ECM, JJs

Cons: Missing 1 PPC, mixes SRMs and SPLs

Huntsman - 2x ERPPC, 4x SRM4, JJS

Cons: No ECM

Huntsman - 2x ERPPC, 4x SPL, JJs

Cons: No ECM

Ebon Jaguar - 2x ERPPC, 5x SPL

Cons: No ECM, no JJs

Summoner - 2x ERPPC, 4x SPL, JJs

Cons: No ECM

Summoner - 2x ERPPC, 4x SRM4, JJs

Cons: No ECM

Timber Wolf - 2x ERPPC, 4x SPL, JJs

Cons: No ECM

Well yeah, but I only listed cons related to their requirements. Except speed, because even Clan Heavies aren't *that* fast Posted Image (shut up, Linebacker!)

I'm sorry to say this but there simply is no 'mech that gives you everything you want. I will show you three of my deadliest Clan ERPPC snipers, from lightest to heaviest.

My Adder

My Shadowcat

My Hunchback IIC

I would like to point out that my Hunchback IIC is by far the deadliest of the three. It sports better armor than the Adder or the Shadowcat, is far more heat efficient than the Shadowcat if played correctly (ERPPCs at long range, ERSLs for close range, rarely if ever use both weapon systems at the same time), and has the ability with high mounted ERPPCs in the shoulders to poptart effectively. The only thing it doesn't have that could make it better is ECM.

Summoner has JJ and but no ECM, Hellbringer has ECM and no JJs. Both have high torso mounts and can take backup weapons. Summoner has energy quirks, Hellbringer doesn't. Both run 87.

I like both of these. But you have to have the HERO Summoner for this build and it will do 91KPH. I also love my Hellbringers, ECM is great for sniping. The only smaller one would be the Huntsman.

3 good Clan Mechs for your idea.

Dont put backup weapons on the 2ERPPC Summoner. It costs way to much in exchange for the heatsinks.

Oh I agree, I was just listing the 'mechs I though best fit the OP's criteria.
