What Clan-Specific New Tech Will Pgi Announce?

So what will it be? Plasma Cannon which causes heat damage? But it is a 3069 tech.
I'm guessing a weapon since the last two are it. Maybe ATM.

Heavy Lasers (S, M and L)
Most of the new tech is all IS,
They get access to every currently available Clan Weapon
as well as:
Heavy Gauss
Light Gauss
RAC 2
RAC 5
MRM 10
MRM 20
MRM 30
MRM 40
Technically snub nosed PPC's are level 3 tech. If we include level 3 tech, IS could get x-pulse lasers and clans er pulse lasers, as well as HAG's for clans and RACs, and streak LRMs

Yeah, but I think they will save HAGs for later. As for now, they would want to start "slow".
ER Pulses aren't that exciting IMO, especially when they would have longer burn time compared to the standard versions.

Never gonna work unless PGI have finally figured out how to implement ammo switching.
Otherwise you'd need 3 versions of each of the 4 ATM types.
Pretty sure that whole group of weapons ain't coming in.

It could function just like SNPPC (or any other non-missile weapons in MWO currently), making ATM the first missile weapon with damage falloff.

IS also get HVACs, XPulse, and Light/Heavy PPCs,
Clan also get Streak LRMs and the Clan I-PPC,
Clan gets access to RACs as well but not MRMs,
(my Topic on that Here)

Andi, I know how much you love the idea of an I-PPC, but it simply doesn't exist, you had the 13 dmg E-ERPPC, but that became extinct after the Clans developed the 15 dmg ERPPC.

People keep saying that, and I keep wondering if they were ever taught how to think how to bypass problems with valid workarounds. Think to the concept of the weapon. That being a single missile system that can function across all range brackets, with heavier damage up close and lower damage at far.
It's simple. Dead simple. Have ATMs have a hidden optimal range where they do 3 damage per missile, and linearly decrease their damage down to a minimum of 1 at maximum range, where they explode. They have the damage scaling code - every laser and ballistic uses it. They have the explode at maximum range code - every missile uses this.
I have a pen. I have pineapple. Ugh. ATM.
Boom. Done. Uses existing code. ATMs in MWO. Wow. Such hard. Much thinking. Fulfills the core concept of the weapon system, and with existing code no less!
If you want an in lore explanation as to how it works, take your pick:
- autoselects ammo type based on locked target range, dealing appropriate damage at all ranges
- it uses the thruster fuel as additional explosive material, doing less damage the farther it flies

Thank you good sir, now you have legitimate reason to hope for the I-PPC, even if it's extremely unlikely PGI will introduce it. Having a 10ish heat PPC option for the clans would do some good, especially with all the PPC variants the IS will be getting.
