So since PGI are selling individual mechs and not mechpacks with multiple variants, will they continue making hero mechs for new mechs? And if so will they cost the same as the other variants? I've not heard anything on this subject yet and I'm looking for some answers regarding this.

We don't know anything yet. Russ did mention on the NGNG Podcast last night that either with, or shortly after the Tech update announcement Tuesday there will be a Mech pack announced that goes with the new tech. So we should have answers soon...
