Common as Locusts come, "LOLcust" as it was dubbed was nothing more than a joke, or so they thought.

Remembered as one of the craziest Police chases, the Lolcust brought in millions of CBills worth of property damage without the help of the missed shots from the K9 Urbanmechs deployed by the local Police. They were only able to confiscate the mech when fired the Jump-Jets full-force against a wall and got disabled. The pilot was able to run away, but rumors believed that it was piloted by a young girl.

The Jump-Jets jury-rigged upon this locust, and the horrendous performance shown in the news became the best example why Locusts are never equipped with Jump Jets.

Armed with two AMS, with 1 and 1/2 tons of ammunition, it was effective against the small amount of Streak Short-Ranged-Missiles and Long-Ranged Missiles by the police force. Two Small-Lasers on the CT and one at each arm, at a total of four were enough to prompt for the K9 Urbanmechs to take cover, even disable their weapons.

As per usual, this is just an idea, i am not a balancing god. Anyways I noticed that with Locusts, though fast, terrain is it's weakness as well, so how's about Jump Jets? For maximum trolling, 4 AMS slots. It doesn't come with ECM though, so it just breaks MWO just right.

The same reason why there's only 1 AMS on the 3M despite two hardpoints available.

Nothing an 18-SSRM Volley won't fix, not like it has ECM that makes acquiring locks hard. Then again LOLusts flying everywhere.

4SL would not be fun. The goal is to hurt enemy mechs not tickle them. The Bane is undergunned with a ranged 20 pt alpha. 12 at no range is useless.

I have been tickled to death by Spider pilots plenty enough. The role here is the same--maximum annoyance rather than noticeable lethality. At 10 tons less.

Seriously though, you could drop the AMS, get FFA, replace 4x SL with 4x ML and + 1 DHS.

I'd pilot it. Heck, drop all energy hardpoints and put only two in the CT or one in the head (or both locations) and I'd love it.

Well, i could put 1E on head, and 2E on CT. But would it still be balanced to have 5 - 7 energy hard points?

I also prefer putting the weapons on the arms, so that weapons suffer being at an easily destroyed component.

You misunderstand me. I don't want moar E hardpoints (though if you want to, I won't complain), I just want to take two out of the arms and move them into the CT.
