I was considering buying either the night gyr or the marauder II packages, just not sure what people think of them. Suggestions? Yes, I do know they are different play styles, but I can handle either one. Is each one worth the money?

Night Gyr is one of the strongest Mechs in the game.
(So of course PGI nerfed the Warhammer.)
I haven't played the SuperNova, but will also get those when available for CBills, due to their strong battlefield performance.

Both are very strong mechs in their own right, but it depending wha you want, I heard Gyrs are good gun boats that can poptart but is locked with slow speeds. MAD IIC a very powerful mech once you get the handle of them, Their strong hill pokers or Poptarts and flexiable since they're battlemechs and have good speeds with a 370 or 375.

There's no wrong answer. They're both terrific, and both have very good heroes if you want that.

The Marauder is vastly more customizeable. The Gyr is only good for gauss cheese. Plus it suffered greatly last patch when they ruined the default paint with a 90% gunmetal body.

I own both, and I enjoy building and playing the Marauder a lot more.

I don't own the MAD-IIC but I do run the IS MAD alot, I also own the NTG.
In terms of (front) hitboxes the MAD is better as it's front profile is much more narrow than the NTG.
However the MAD's side profile is HUGE and can be lost pretty fast, so don't twist much in it.
The NTG has a huge CT so you will need to twist a good bit to keep your CT from being focused on, but it's hitboxes are overall more balanced than the MAD-IIC.
Either way both are good.

My favourite NGR is the Jade Kite with stock omnipods, 2 ERPPCs in the right arm and 2 UAC5s in the left arm.. it has loads of builds, 2 Gauss and a ERPPC is the most popular, sure, and its very good, but the mech can do many things.. it is limited to having to bring at least one ballistic because of the tonnage though.
