Holy balls the UZIEL aaaaaannnnnnddd The Madcat MKII?

annnnnnnnnnddd NEW TECH???? ALL on the Front page??

That is some serious PGI damage control on their part.

Maybe we need to light some more dumpsters, and we can get this game back on track.

I jest, but that is some serious coolness wrapped up in none other than a MECHPACK, two of which I will assuredly purchase.

Not so well played, but certainly passable for the time being, PGI.

The new tech was scheduled to be shown today regardless of what happened to the skill tree PTS.

Some cool new toys to be sure, tempted on to get the annihilator.

Finally the IS mechs get some much needed weapon diversity to really mash up build styles.

I look forward to all this, even if it will be glhf with balance, but is there ever balance. Posted Image

Never liked the Annihilators looks and Alex did his best, which turned pretty good as usual.
Im sure as F gonna preorder the whole Cougar pack, oh the Cougar I have missed you sooo much. The Uller/ Kit Fox and Cougar are my favorite clan mechs. Sure one of the slowest lights it is, but its role is not as much scouting as being a very hard hitting pocket medium and a nice supporter! Posted Image

Miiiight get the Mad Cat Mk II and Uziel. Then again if I get the MCMK II I feel the need to get the MC aswell, which I try to avoid since its so common and well all have it. I like hte underdogs.

And hey, congrats to Imperius and other fans. You got your wish! Posted Image

Yeah, I think they were planning on new tech and such. The skill riot will still go on, but a very troubled community that will probably be flailing in straight jackets at a mental ward because of this annoucement. Talk about bipolar manic depressive.

Yeah things like light fusion engines for those that have side torso death problems.

MRMs for those missle mechs that just couldn't make SRMs work.

Light ballistics for light and medium mechs.

ER lasers.

Ahh so many options, going to be fun this summer.

I looked pretty hard at the Cougar, and I just don't know. Could someone politely tell me what the big deal is for the mech over the Kit Fox and especially Adder? Is it just a table top flavor thing?

Most of them look good, but that's not a Cougar in my book. This is a Cougar.

Its slower and harder hitting, ask the Jade Falcon engineers about details... I dont care, I want it, I need it and I've never liked the Adder THAT much.

It doesn't really hit much harder though, your pod space advantage is only like 1 ton or so.

You lose speed and agility and gain next to nothing in exchange.

Well, speed was never a main concern for the Adder anyway, same for the Kit Fox and Cougar. Speed and as main scouts are not their advantages OR focus. Mist Lynxes, Arctic Cheetas, Fire Moths on the other hand... Then we are talking lights in the classic sense. Fast as frack and with proper scouting equipment.

Engines and tonnage returns are lost on people that don't wanna do math.

I mean... we'll have Light Fusion Engines replacing STD engines virtually across the board... and yet we'll have people telling us "the STD engine is still good".

Yeah buddy... we believe you.

Thanks. Yeah, that's what I was seeing too. It's not a horrible mech and it should do well for folks that favor firepower over speed. Myself, I'm not one of those. The basic Adder does a super job of being a light that fights like a medium, and my Purifier Kitfox has the full range of options for respectable guns, or adding jump, while keeping ECM.

Meanwhile... Dang the Inner Sphere is heavily favored with the update of new tech. As a Clan player, I welcome this big time. Give the IS some love and let game balance begin with a new footing.

2 tons, actually (the smaller engine requires a lighter gyro). It also has JJs and ECM if you take the reinforcements, otherwise you'll just have to wait a few months. I'm also sure it will have high agility for its engine rating, just like the other underengined lights.
I'm totally going to buy it anyway, for no other reason that it is a Jade Falcon ' Mech Posted Image

It's nitpicking, but the artwork I liked always had a cockpit that looked like an F-14 Tomcat's cockpit, basically. In some versions, it was a bit shorter and puggy, but I find that PGI's version has a cockpit more reminiscent of some kind of helicopter rather than a fighter jet. I wanted it to be more long and pointy.

I'm not complaining though. I don't really feel like buying any mechs right now anyways. I honestly do hope other people are happy with it.
