If you sell all the "practical" stuff first, what does that leave you with? Smart business is to spread the good stuff out and pace yourself. I'm pretty aware of what PGI's doing there... I mean the only mech of consequence is the MKII. So, it's likely to happen again (having one mech being pro-meta, the others being pro-nostalgia).
If you put all the meta-mechs in one go, you are subjecting financial suicide upon yourself because there's not enough nostalgia that will compensate for steady diet of metamechs being sold.
It's like trying to claim the Annihilator packs will sell better than the Kodiak packs. It's laughable.
