The Hero can do Gauss Vomit (dual Gauss and lasers) or mounting both the twin Gauss and twin ERPPCs on the arms if you prefer. It can't assume the iconic Mad Cat Mk. II silhouette since it can't mount missile pods on the ST.

The Collector edition Reinforcement Add-on gives you a Dakka Cat (it has lower arm actuators but it's not that bad) and a bit bigger version of MAD-IIC-C with missiles.

For July the 18th, which one would you choose if you can only buy either one?

Edited the title. Thanks to RestosIII for the correction.

Deathstrike also has 4 energy in the STs as back up so I would choose the Hero. Plus Deathstrike is a cool name.

I just find the Hero's abbreviation "MCII-DS" sad, because it reminds me of my Victor-DS, the completely outclassed and obsoleted Dragon Slayer. Stupid power creep.

Actually, collector's doesn't have lower arm actuators. Only upper.

And if I were to choose one or the other, based solely on looks? Deathstrike. Bloody beautiful pattern on it IMHO. Bit sad it doesn't have missile hardpoints, but, eh, whatcha gonna do?

The Collector's A and B versions do have Lower Arm Actuators based on the page.

OOOOOOOH. You meant reinforcement, not collectors.

Oops, sorry, it seems that I always confused the two! Yeah, it's the Reinforcement.

I have to imagine that's a typo. Probably just shoulder and upper.

The MKII-4 had lowers officially, so I don't see anything wrong about the A and B having them.

The Cougar is an omnimech for sure.

It's a Clan Battlemech. You can tell on the store page, the hardpoint potion of the mech specs table will say either "Hardpoints" or "Omnipod Hardpoints".

None. Because the best variants are, like allways, reinforcement + hero add-ons. And since I'm a #ModuleSwappingYouKnowWhat I'm gonna buy them when they get released for C-Bills.

It generally needs to carry heavier weapons like the HGN-IIC (also a Clan 90t BattleMech) but is almost better on all aspects.

Oh, so LB40x carrier, with decent Laser mounts?
I kinda wish the Scorch could do that

I don't think I have enough MC stockpiled to get one...I'll have to hope there's some more MC events over the next few months.

Even if the JJs were buffed and Gauss charge removed, Dragon Slayer would still be strictly inferior to many similar style Clan mechs, such as Night Gyr, and MAD-IIC. Clans had power creeped things beyond eleven.

TBH, now that I know you mean reinforcement instead of collector, I'd go with the Hero. Even though being able to run 4 AC's in the arms with lower arm actuators would be absolutely baller, 6 energy+2 Ballistic on an Assault with JJs with a pretty pattern beats it out.
