I went for something similar in the end but different energy.

770 damage and a kill in first match in tier 1 but horribly hot without any xp on it. I kept stripping mechs then having to hold off finishing them.

They do seem distinctly effective so far. Just had two disastrous matches in total out of 16 and one of those was a 12-0 wipe so understandable. Seems to play well to tier 1 at least and very interested to see how they perform once elited.
