Can we put the stormcrow and Timberwolf in line with every other mech module wise, every other mech gets 2 weapon slots... all the weapons are in line range wise and stuff on both sides, like a middle point balance. about time those 2 mechs get the weapon module slots they deserve.

This should not be an issue with the implementation of the new skill tree and investing points into the consumable tree which did allow 4 additional slots to be added if you wanted to put the points into them.

My main concern for the new skill tree personally, is the firepower rating. According to what I heard about the latest changes, each mech will be given a firepower rating. So, what exactly determines the firepower rating? Currently, there are IS mechs that have twice as many mods as some of our mechs. So, does this mean that the IS mechs will be given twice as much firepower rating as us and all in the name of "balance"?

No, that was a proposal by a player and can be found in the Skill Tree thread.
It was a nicely made proposal but it needs revision in my opinion as it does address a couple of problems but is worse in other respects.
@Horse
There was a small handful of problems with the tree but it was otherwise a good direction and would be a terrible shame for it not to be implemented, probably after the introduction of new tech now.
But, this discussion on the tree is better directed over to that forum instead of polluting the Feature Suggestions and this thread.
