Light ferro is actually a lot more useful than people are giving it credit for. You might not always have 14 slots left over, but you usually will have at least 7. That's just a little bit more performance you can squeeze out of the mech.

Trying to equivocate it with Clan stuff is just the transference of the larger clan vs. IS argument.

LFF will be about as useful as FF depending on whether you have 7 or 14 spare slots left.
You are right that the problem already exists: IS FF is an option you take last. But this is no reason not to fix it,

It's not just a Clam thing
Ferro has ALWAYS been terrible

Now there's just a better reason to fix it

LFF is exactly as shite as normal isFF, just half the requirements for half the benefit.
Generally, you'll just be able to up-armor your face or shield arm, or legs. It gives you almost nothing. Maybe a Heatsink on an Assault mech.

They could just remove FF all together and then there would be no debate at all. IDK, just feels like you guys really want that other person's cake too.
