really, i bought camo last year it's still locked on only the mechs i had that time.
this is ridiculous i am a loyal customer that do not like being nick-picked by micro transactions.
i bought MKII and few Clan mechs over my play trough but i really do not like being rip off.

PGI time to do something about your camo's especially those one have bought (750 MC) ones.

You need to explain in more detail, cause I don't see how PGI had ripped you off.

May God help you if you are one of those who buy perma camo, as opposed to one-shot.

Agreed with bandits. It's explicitly mentioned camo unlocked for chassis or 1 time application. Whilst I hope they release it for multiple mechs, I don't see how they ripped you off. Or how Bout buying 10 diff 1 time applications instead then you can have a bit more variety for the same value

yea one of those that bought a "perma" camo it only unlock on all mechs i already had that moment.
"one shot" already say's so for one time use.

Perma-camo only unlocks on that SPECIFIC mech you bought it on, not on all that you own...

Perma camo unlock is only chassis wide, meaning if you got it on a Stalker, your non-Stalker mechs wont benefit for it. At 1/10 of the price, one-shot is just so superior. I can't foresee you changing camos that often.

and even then 750 is a lot for only 1 Chassis think i gonna review it on steam as rip off. and give a negative review on MWO.

So... Let me get this straight. You're going to write a review stating, in crappy English that's barely passable, that two years ago, you misread something or it was poorly explained that paying 750 MC-less than five dollars-would unlock one type of camouflage for an entire 'mech chassis, and this ripped you off in some way?

Boy, 10/10 best steam review ever right there.

Most peoples mechs are just pitch black anyway because of the stupid game engine. So it doesn't matter.

Yeah well, reporting in ... back when I started the game, I promptly proceeded to buy an good selection of permanent camos for my Cicadas. I think I have three or four. It was a good half year or more before I figured out there's such a thing as a one-shot.

I think honestly the UI is at times quite opaque, and used to be worse. Probably many of us have had our own "oh you can do THAT!" moments, figuring out something obvious after months or years of playing.

To OP though, it's a free-to-play title, so micro-transactions are the name of the game. And especially in cosmetic items which you can monetize without pay2win concerns. IMO if anything they could monetize MORE cosmetic stuff like custom geometry ... also people were screaming to throw money at the deckles.

Actually, as long as Camo has been in game, the One Shot/Permanent was fully explained, and that you were only buying it for that ONE chassis.

The cost and implementation of mech camo has not changed (other than sale prices during certain events) since camos were introduced.

The permanent camos (not 1 shot) work for any variant of a specific chassis you bought it for. IF you sold the chassis and then bought it back the camo still works for that line of chassis (the one you originally purchased it for)

The fact is you have had and used that camo for 2 years and NOW you think it is a rip off? I bought a candy bar 2 years ago and ate it. Now it's gone, what a rip.....

If you are serious and unhappy, you might ry working (nicely, not demanding) with support and see if they can help you. I suspect at most they may unlock a different camo for a different chassis, but that is a stretch after 2 years. Support has ALWAYS been good to me and helpful in any issue I have had. They were ALWAYS fair. I may not have been happy with the outcome, but it was a fair one. That is my only suggestion to you. Good Luck.

Way back when, i accidentally bought a camo unlock for a single spider, asked support, got a full refund and could keep the camo unlock for the spider chassi (could not reverse it, cuz engine or something, so i could keep it).

All Pgi said was that i should take care what i select from now on.

10/10 customer support.

Over the years, i bought only 2 chassi unlocks ('cuz i was batshit drunk both times). My own fault and not worth bugging the support about.
It's blackknights and hunchies IIC anyways, so no prob.

Hahaha. To be fair, I did once buy a perma Tiger camo for my Stalkers. Considering the fact I have eight Stalkers in my garage, that was not too bad of a deal. Gotta love the Stalkers.

This year 3FB will grace my garage.
