That is somewhat funny, but far too SJW, basically a "neckbeard" is a guy with low self esteem that is afraid to tell people to F-off.

Your post is full of hopes and dreams. It's beautiful. I almost shed a tear.

The reality is that clan mechs go faster, do more damage, and are harder to bring down.
They are both more accessible to new players and cheaper if you consider the hidden costs of upgrading IS mechs. You want a more consistent performer that will earn the most C-bills? You go Clan.

And people like winning. Winning feels nice even if you play checkers with your grandma. Winning against some randoms over the internet? Nobody feels guilty about that. It's their fault they chose to bring knives to a gunfight.

The most honorable you can get in MWO is when you kill swiftly and efficiently. Without griefing and damage farming.

Let us see how "hard" it is to take down Clan Mechs after the crit "fix" in today's patch. Yes, if it was a legitimate bug that was giving Clans an advantage, then it should be fixed.

Once again, PGI showing its true colors and its disdain for Clan mechs and the people who use them. Today, a double-nerf to Clans' protection AND combat ability-not because the mechs are overpowered in any way, but because good players know how to use them effectively, and so, PGI moves to punish them.

If Clans had lost Tukayyid I and II and were losing whole swaths of territory with better players on the IS breathing down their necks, you can sure as hell bet these changes would be going the other way.

Slowing down the kill would add to the game. I personally don't like pushing in a fresh assault mech, only to be insta-killed by two lights and a medium who blow trough over 100 CT armor in one shot. Of course, I doubt these changes will help, much.

As stated earlier here, it would be nice if they could add the old maps back into the game. They were fun, and I wouldn't think they would involve a lot of work to get back into the game.

One bug that I have noticed more than usual lately is getting shot on one side and taking the damage on the other. I think it's usually Gauss ,AC, and PPCs that do this. Always fun to get shot in the face and have my back cored out.
I've also noticed, at least with PPCs, that my shots sometimes go through people. It's not common, but it happens enough. And these weren't under the arms or legs, but dead center shots that just didn't connect.

Oh, and the 2 minute timer on disconnects. Could this be increased?
I DCed the other day a few times due to an application issue, which I figured out and resolved. But it took me about 3 or 4 minutes and 3 attempts to get back into the game. It was a FW game, and I got in just as the fun was starting, but because i was disconnected for longer than 2 minutes I got nothing for that game. No XP, no Cbils, nothing. (FW matches are long...I feel like I was cheated.)
If I was just after the XP and Cbils, and I knew that I couldn't get back before 2 minutes, then why even try. After 2 minutes, there's no incentive to get back in.

Other than that, we'll see how it goes after the patch. Like every other patch, I adapt. Posted Image

got 2 questions :
- Why clan balistic > the normal one can't be Up with one SINGLE thing ... Burst Projectile like IS Version ?? Seriously i'm pretty sure every clanner use more CSSRM2 than CAC2/5/10(not sure about this one)/20 ......
- If the ClanTech is soso OP ... Why not give everytech for everyone ? i'm not a lorefan but PGI seem to hardly f**k the lore since the clan release why not PTS this and see some stats ?

I want to know the genius and ammount of what ever mushroom you're smokeing. Clan lasers have a longer burn time in order for them to do full damage. If you take away that extra duration they do less damage. For more heat... and a slower reload....

I see someone is unable to use Critical Thinking and basic Arithmetic

7 damage
1.15 Duration

7/11.5=0.608 Dam/Tick (tenth of a second)

5 damage
0.9s duration
5/9=0.555 Dam/tick

Hey, look at that! The Clam laser does MORE damage in the same 0.9s of the isML
That holds true (equal or greater) for ALL BUT TWO lasers, the MPL and LPL
They're also generally the same reload, but total recycle being marginally slower due to duration (IE, 0.25s longer for the ERML)

See what I did there?

We all have a right to express our opinions on this game. I have played it for years and I can't understand why PGI has manipulated it constantly and infinitely. I can't decide whether to invest $$ in the game if 3 or so months later my mechs (yes I know PGI owns my paid for mechs and I don't) they operate and perform totally differently.

It is like trying to nail jello to the wall.

Why not revamp each year and give us a break. Can't you show some planning PGI?

I am moving my time and cash to another game over this "breaking of the clan mechs" and I bet I am not alone. I will check back later but will not be surprised to find this has become a Barbi pet rescue game.

Prosperity Park; You are a humourless *****. I only play and own IS mechs. I hate nerfs of any kind. I hate people that piss and moan about balance because the build they like best doesn't dominate every match. The majority of weapons in this game are crap. This is a first person, sci-fi, giant robot war machine shooter. Trying to balance every weapon and mech the way they have been is stupid and not adding fun to the game. Slowing down the time to kill is stupid and will not add fun to the game. You perpetually butt hurt, neck beard types really take stuff too seriously. Or too personally, not sure which.

And you are a Super Spud
Seriously...how are people SO BAD at this game?
133 AMS, 0.33 Kd, 1.2 WL

Nerfs are necessary
Buffs are necessary

isSLs are absolutely worthless, and should be buffed

cGauss is outright superior to the isGauss, functionally identical, but 3 tons lighter.
This can be a buff, or a nerf. Seeing as the Gauss is the best weapon in the game, you could nerf the cGauss recycle.
Or give the isGauss 3x range back.

Now, please git gud
It's painful to see your stats.

There would still be people who play IS, not everyone is a min-maxing meta player. It is only hardcore players that degrade and insult new players for doing poorly that turn new players off of certain units / factions. And yes, rewards could be made enticing enough to attract players to IS. For example, Clan rewards could be reduced if you take a heavier mech and increased if you take lighter mechs. Is lances that coordinate well and achieve their objectives should get MC rewards

My friends and I would play on as Steiner. We played Battle Tech 3025 for years and read the books since the beginning so we're IS loyalists since our youth. Posted Image
Consider it dumb or as a 'stupid handicap' but we dont play mechs in their most efficient variant, first of all we play them for fun. If rewards would be closer to the good old mechwarrior universe it would be great but I guess this will never happen.

In a first step I would welcome a reward system adjusted to the played game mode. "Capture the enemy base" and you get nearly null points if you captured the base without killing a mech. Or you capture ressource point after ressource point, dodging the enemy and securing the win through victory points but your pilot tier drops because you got no kill/made no damage. This is much more frustrating than taking a deeper look at the disbalance between Clan and IS. (what is frustrating too, especially if you're piloting IS mechs with basic skills)
A (sad) 'running gag' of our group is the skirmish mode which we call "the most sincere game mode" as nearly every game mode is transmogrified into "skirmish with an unimportant side quest".

Its not so much that most people are gloating more that suddenly things have shifted from one side to another in a potentially dramatic way. I play both sides (mostly as CSJ admittedly) but I can only imagine the pain of being a loyalist IS player till now.

Yep, if you're relatively new to this game (I only played the beta and re-joined the game some weeks ago) and play with basic IS mechs this game really (really) hurts. ,)

Hmm... Just got past all the back-and-forth [bleep]ing... Frankly, I'm wondering if PGI will finally give Clanners back the tonnage to where the default lines should be, with 250 tons for Invasion and 55 tons for Scouting? I think Clans will be overdue after this Patch happens?

Also... WHERE IS THE BLOODY FIX THAT'S OVERDUE FOR THE TUTORIAL BATTLEGRID MAP BUG?!?!? WHO THE HECK IS KEEPING Dave Forsey's PATCH FOR THAT FROM REACHING THE GAME? THIS HAS BEEN ONGOING FOR MONTHS NOW!!!

Man, chill, way too much CAPSLOCK for a Tutorial glitch.. Let 'em focus on the actual game..

It's been ongoing for well more than 5 months now. I'm normally chill until about the third patch goes by after I find a bug like that. Why do I start getting heated? Because I can see from the view point of the newbie, all the way up to the view point of a veteran. I can understand how we're all affected when we try to use the Tutorial Area's BattleGrid Map while trying to check out our Mech designs, or even for the newest player when they're trying to do the First-Time Tutorial, only to find that what we see there isn't reflected by the physical area that we're actually present in. Anyway, I then come to realize that somebody is keeping somebody else from getting things fixed. That ends up demanding a satisfactory answer as to why these glaringly obvious things are failing to get fixed, all while we end up seeing "yet another nerf, without any buffs" to other gameplay and such. :(

I also just tripped, once again, upon my own Bug Report regarding MechLab fiddling in the In-Game Store interface, and have noticed that this was NEVER completely fixed, if at all. And then there's the Issue with this 1.4.107 Patch about the Achievement Pop-Ups when you're in a Match, where they won't display properly. Frankly, I would love to know who the heck keeps passing over these things that even touch slightly upon Quality-Of-Life with the User Experience. Are they trying to drive away people by making their User Experience a partial living hell?

PGI will never do what they say, they will just drag it all as long as they get money. they put all the cash into other projects and their pockets. They are following the Democrats of the USA. Say stuff to appease the population but never finish it.

I'm curious if any of the guys who are crying about PGI shooting themselves in the foot and saying that they are trying to kill the game have ever read "Henny Penny". I would like to have this put on a recommended reading list and have it locked at the top of the announcements forum.

It's PGI, what did you expect?
Did they ever finished a patch on time (I don't mean "mech release patch")?
