I thought they have fixed the gauss charge not showing in the spectator mode. I never paid much attention so I don't know how it is now.

Not sure there is a way to fix it. Gauss charge being client side you need to be able to rapidly press release and use the function without delay or interferance from the server. Meaning if you were to try make it display correctly it would be like the way zoom function used to work. really delayed and not usable.

People don't cheat (well, at least not most of them Posted Image ), you just don't see the gauss charge in spectator mode. I spectated gauss mechs many times and though charge is not shown, it is clearly visible that they only shoot gauss after a delay.

It's a display issue. Gauss charge is not shown to spectators.

Potatoes...
Everytime a potato sees something that it cannot explain with it's little experience about the game that it has it cries out "cheats".
Why for the love of god can't you make a thread like "Is this normal what I observed?"
Instead you immediatelly jump to conclusions, i.e. accusing somebody of cheating.

I guess I will do what I have planned for a long time:
Create a new account, buy a MAD-IIC (or later a MC-MKII) call it "Potato smasher" and go potato hunting.

Zoom was server side as an anti-hacking measure IIRC. Gauss charge should be no different than shooting/moving or anything else client side.

I remember that PGI did say that they have fixed it.

Is it not yet fixed?

All you are going to prove is what most people already know. Gauss charge is client side, so it doesn't show up in observation mode.

lets see, people claim they can make AI, make weather predictions, model the universe.
but a simple guess charge is to much to ask.... seams legit

Why do you need to see your team-mates charge their Gauss Rifles? What could you possibly get out of it?

And even that has a 15sec Delay for the people watching. It's a known thing and very low on the pole to fix.

I wonder if the OP is referring to people being able to see through environment textures and popping off Gauss rounds as he rounds a corner.
