Description: When using NARC to mark Mechs on the battlefield, NARC launch sounds like an SRM being fired (or no sound while in third-person), instead of the normal dart-like sound.

Location: Any Battlefield, in Any Game Mode, including the Tutorial/Academy

Reproduction Rate: 100% -- This is ALWAYS Reproducible!!!

Steps to Reproduce:
  • Equip NARC on any Mech.
  • Launch into Any Battlefield, regardless of Game Mode.
  • Fire NARC, regardless of if you're aiming at a target.
  • Hear SRM firing sound (or none if in third-person), instead of dart-like NARC firing sound.

What should NOT happen: Hearing the SRM firing sound upon firing a NARC (or none if in third-person), instead of the dart-like NARC firing sound.

What SHOULD be happening: Hearing the dart-like NARC firing sound.

Comments: This only started happening with Patch 1.4.110 (1.4.107 HotFix #1), and I've already run a File Verification Check with the MWO Repair Tool... Any chance we could get an extra HotFix for this? It does affect gameplay mechanics on a weapon that's not supposed to be heard by the enemy, or supposed to have extremely little chance of being heard. Worse, that means that someone doing stealth recon is accidentally being given away when they're not supposed to be. :(

I can also confirm this I had an SRM2 and a NARC equipped on my COM-2D and fired them both separate, and I too hear the same exact sound effect
