Hi all, are four games I find a player (1Gr*** ****er1) than loads 4 LRM boats and he never goes out the dropzone till the team detects an enemy. At this point, he moves and attacks the closest enemy the team detect, even if 1787m away...
I tried to talk to him, but never a response. Many enemies and mates told me he is a BOT.
Is that possible? Now I am again in queque and if I find him again, can I report him? and for what?
thx all

Sounds like a bot, but not a very good one.

You can report them.
I suspect bots do exist, but they are very rare (or they imitate poor players well enough to not be noticed.)
The only time I saw something that almost surely had to be a bot was some years ago when I was spectating on an LRM Hunchback. It was very strange. Every time he took any fire, he went into a scripted evasion routine: he centered his torso, then walked in a zig-zagging pattern straight forwards, with each zig and zag perfectly the same. Then, he'd stop and turn back to firing LRM's. This went on for a bit, until near the end of the match, he spun around and starting shooting LRM's at nothing at all. There wasn't anything in visual range or locked, so no idea. The whole thing looked like the performance of a mediocre bot, which I assume it was; either that, or a player with an insane number of complex macros, I guess.

We also know PGI has a few times deployed AI's into the quickplay queue by accident. So possible one accidentally got off of the internal testing server and onto live. Best to report them either way, send footage/screenshots/whatever to PGI since they have a strict rule against name and shame on the forums (or other places).

While the guy is unlikely a bot, the playerbase has a section full of VIP-level bots.

I always see a bot in every single Escort match. Guy's an idiot, I pray he's not on my side. All he does is walk in random directions and usually right into the red team's firing line.....

Yes, report the player via the match screen as afk or non-participation. Whatever it takes to get him on the radar. Also send email to PGI at support@mwomercs.com

You mean the haunting, mysterious bot mechs that some say are intentionaly placed, coded into maps around haloween times? Wandering the maps, but once someone gets to close, they disappear?
Or some truly paaranormal incursion, using mechs as puppets to spook the pilots in-game?
You do have seen the eerie red eyes of the Atlas in the distance of certain maps, right?

Sometimes, if you are searching for a match over 5 minutes, you can drop with a lot of bots, and it's pretty obvious. You feel like you are surrounded by them. You can try and prove yourself wrong by asking them through the VOIP what the hell are they doing. They will just respond with some prerecorded scrypt phrases of several types: "Relax, dude, it's just a game", or "Oh, fсk off, man", or "I got more kills than you".
