i have been playing alot with ams on my mech. to counter the LRMs. it has been working. so i had this phoenix hawk with 2 AMS. so i got the AMS damage module just to try it out. what happend now was the scary part. so we checked the damage reduction. then we shoot of the arm with the AMS hard point, too check what i counter with one. that made a bug that shot down all the missiles from a clan lrm 40. that it did not counter with 2 ams. so i rebuild the mech so i only have one ams. then the bug was not there. and the bug did not happen without the module if i had 2 AMS. this is a bug needing to look in too. so people dont shoot of an arm of a mech and get better ams cover then they should have.

That is a highly specific and strange bug, but, go email that off to PGI as well. One of those things that just doesn't get found out because people rarely sit down and science it out.

If I understand your description properly, it sounds like it's applying either all or just the additional AMS damage from the destroyed AMS unit to the remaining AMS shots.

Sounds hilarious. Aside from Phawks, BLR-2C, and Atlas-K can potentially duplicate such bug. Definitely worth a try in CW. Anyway, send an e-mail to PGI and detail it.

I remember when AMS shot down friendly missiles. Those were the good old days.
