Just a thread to make some map related suggestions, preferably that won't take up a large amount of new resource making to achieve.
Example 1;
Larger desert map; Using the canyon network textures, but a much larger base map size and in general flatter battlefield, it could be relatively simple to design a desert map, with hills and mountainous rocks.
To add further distinction to it, and as an example of new environment conditions though, there could be a sandstorm affecting a portion of the map, or possibly the whole map, but with some points of cover. The sandstorm effect itself could simply block LOS over a certain distance, and possibly mess with a system like the minimap, when inside (still allowing target locks etc, just a static-ey minimap for example.
So there you have it, a basic idea for a "new" map utilising mostly already existing textures etc, that could be taken further in depth, with new conditions systems.
Just one to get the ball rolling, add your own thoughts on map ideas/environmental effect ideas, specific or vague, if you think you have some good ideas.

Another simple-ish idea;
The Spaceport; Using HPGs textures/environment set, make a section of a large ship port floating in space, rather than the moon-like surface of HPG, there could be artificial gravity at work to provide no need for special rules (or make zero G an environment effect and add it here with whatever it entails, like no bullet drop etc, if at all possible).
The spaceport itself could have many indoor type locations (larger "basement" sections), as well as being inclusive of the port itself, which could be littered with destroyed dropships and docking bays as debris and cover.
