On Sunday, March 26th starting at 8pm EST CbR1 will be having our first annual Urbie Derby. I was going to keep this inside the unit but it should be as chaotic as possible so I'm inviting anyone who wants to participate. The rules are as follows (and are SUPER simple):

1. Must pilot an Urbie (duh)
2. The only weapon or weapons allowed are LB10x and 1 small laser (no pulse)
3. Uavs, cool shots(unnecessary but whatever floats your boat) and arty or air strikes are allowed.
4. Modules, upgrades etc are allowed
5. Every Urbie for himself, last Urbie standing wins.


If there are more than 24 people interested, we will split up into groups with the survivors advancing until only one Urbie is crowned king of the trash cans. The prize for winning will be a K-9 hero gift code(unless you have one in which case you can switch for another resistance light hero). If enough people join in, there will be first, second and third place prizes. If you are interested, feel free to respond here and then meet us at rodcbr1.teamspeak3.com on the 26th for some Urbie demolishing fun.

Probably should mention that this event is for people with a good attitude looking to have fun, mouth off and blow up other Urbies with shotguns. Please bring a good attitude and willingness to get messy and have fun.

gotta be lb10s to ensure maximum urban mech density in a given area. No sniping urbies; we want as many trash cans smashing into each other as possible.

welp you guys just made my urbanborn have a chance to shine with it's lb10x just need to swap out for some more ammo.

also realized I have to see what time that is in central and if I work that day but I'll be damned if I don't get my hands in on this.

We're gonna test it this weekend. It works out to 7p.m. central time on Sunday the 26th. If we find too many rubies surviving due to running out of ammo I'll modify it to allow a backup small laser. There can be only one(urbie left standing)!

Oh, any engine goes. Mid to your hearts content. Only restriction will be on weapons. No sniper urbies.

Ok, did a 6 man test, lb10x and 1 small laser are now the allowed armaments.

well I guess I am going to most likely miss it(unless I get one of the weird early work days) but in it's stead I wish for a trashcan 1v1 between me and bishop steiner. tincan supremacy must be made! (small note I preordered the k9 and kgc and realized they release on my birthday so treating it like a present from pgi now off to launch more trash at my foes)

Probably less of a challenge then you'd like, I'll be the first to admit, I'm an old,. average pilot, on substandard gear.... which of course makes perfect sense for an Urbanmech pilot! But be careful... I'll bite your bloody legs off!

Gear is unimportant. Its gonna be at 24 urbies squaring off with shot guns and a small laser. Bewteen those and all the arty ain't nobody seeing anything anyway.

somebody better be seeing it-...you can't have that much glorious UM love going on without a cameraman!
